Ok, quit or fired unemployment is up to his state of residence, and yes you get unemployment for quitting employment. It is very hard and you have to prove that the job was causing a lot of stress that was affecting you medically. This route is extremely hard to travel for unemployment.
Getting fired doesn't mean you are automatically approved for unemployment compensation. They only thing getting fired means is you got fired. That is why it is called "filing" for unemployment. Much like "filing" a motion in court. You are asking that something be done in the case unemployment payments be made on your behalf.
On the daughter, yes he would have to disclose her medical condition to them. She will be on THIER property in the care and custody of her father in THEIR property. I am pretty sure no where it was said that Crete needed to research her medical records. Now Crete needs to know and I am pretty sure they ask on the ride along form that has to be filled out and approved by safety. It is all CYA and they have to have their bases covered on all aspects of a ride along. Think how much time, money, training, background checks, driving record checks are made just to be employed. You really think they will just let someone ride along cause it is your daughter? Nope.

I do not believe the OP for one second. He screwed up somewhere at Crete and got fired for it. Period end of story. He comes here and spews some BS story how they discriminate against the handicap. His daughter was never employed by Crete. Again his story is bogus and like many other on this forum about being wrongfully terminated. If I was in this person's shoes and this really did happen the last place I would be is on a public forum talking about my case. Case being court case, I would be suing like a mad man. But again someone comes on here does a drive by never to post again. Don't you find that a little odd?

Assuming your employment agreement spelled out the terms of the idle policy you are the one who is responsible for placing your daughter in a dangerous situation.
As for you getting fired, if its for "cause" you will not be collecting unemployment, can we also assume the cause was you willfully breaking the terms of your employment agreement? -

I didn't have air conditioning in my truck I tried everything but force sitting for it, but had I had it, I would use what I needs regardless of what they "told me 2"
One thing for them to not care if your truck has air
Another for it 2, and u not use it anyway.. They aren't the ones sweating or freezing to death
