I had nothing, but a rand at the time... Doesn't do much for inner city and town driving, I was broke
No Computer, no GPS nothin' but a flip phone only good for txt and call and my rand
I said I started out broke and behind and my miles were never good took awhile to have spare income to spend on such
Eventually I had those things and didn't depend solely on those dir, but as a broke noob it was sort of important and really
They're making the real money off the loads, and of course I did start calling everywhere I went once I caught on
But its really beginners mistakes versus a company notcaring enough about its on freight

I know people busy, but there should be those set aside for things such as that, wrong company names I got those alot, some just had dif names on paper or shared buildings, if I noticed mistakes id send in corrections on my Qualcomm doubt anything ever changed though
My last load it was 1260 miles, I had already drove for 2 hours out the day and used up 4 out of my 14.. I figured if I went ahead and took my 10 id have 2 full shifts instead of one and a partial and itd be night so most likely less chance of delays
I'd went to sleep, woke greeted by a team showed up to take my load the best load I haar had the whole time I was there, that's hw the argument started if anyone was curious.. He wasn't completely wrong, for wanting the load to stay moving, but I really don't believe I could've made 1260 in 19 hrs at 63 mph so... And they were watching my logs because of flat tire ticket and inspection, so I was trying to start staying legal as possible
In retrospect I could've probably split logged it, but that was against company policy and would be a log violation as far as the company was concerned, which I had in the past before they started watching me after the tire ticket -
1260mi in 19hrs?? That's why they took the load from you & gave it to a team so would be on time
They don't schedule loads on what a driver decides to do. -
Yea but I think I would've been close to making it
With 22 hours which was possible taking my ten. That's why I said it wasn't so much his fault
He was a relatively new fm for me..
It was just everything prior made me
More mad about it then I should've been
And he went off on me about taking my ten something about driving hours I had left in the day, not taking into account that my new shift would start after appointment time... So the argument and I was mad before all that went down
i do regret what i did to get fired, i chose the wrong person to be mad at and probably should've just bit my lip
but really the whole experience just seemed setup for failure, really hard to be level headed not making money in a field like this, i didnt expect much starting out.. But that was rediculuous -
i have to agree with that,no matter what you are supposed to do your own preplanning.it's not hard to call up the place you are headed to and ask them whatever you need to know.most of them know of the problems that a trucker might run into getting there.ie which drive to turn into and so on.

just an fyi if you get a bad number let dispatch know or 411 main number.alot of numbers are to the dock or dock office it self.

well i just quit USA. low miles definatly. ive never been late worked my year out. and by the last 3 months i was getting around 1000 miles a week. and i know other drivers were getting more b/c i talked to alot of them. i drove a 2010 prostar.
always had a/c probs 4 a/c compressors in 2 months. i dont remember the guys name on here who says he doesnt use a gps HUGE props to you
i used google maps, paper map, gps, and qualcom directions....... btw buddy those r the directions the costumer gives usa. not usa's fault u cant find some where to go. i found my way to an oil field in texas in the middle of a ranch by my self. and as far as them giving you the wrong appointments. i agree. the new system the are running on the qualcom is junk. ever shipper and reciver i went to after that was either a day late or hours late to where i couldnt be loaded or unloaded. not a good company i should of done more research. but you live and learn you waste more energy being mad then just moving on
-
oh an BTW you couldnt make that run in 22 hours i promise you that...trucks are 61-63 mph......weather terrian accidents rush hour
-
thats where you made your mistake you should have driven your 11 hrs the taken your 10 off there was no way you would have made it on time doing what you did
-
Yea but I couldn't 'legally' make it either way
maybe I could've splitlogged
Thought my first fm may have been intentionally changing them, however I have no idea
It was alot of bad directions
Back to back, it was right after I had called the fleet supervisor about my miles being so low
