Iv been looking at usx new leasing program an was wondering if anyone here was leased on to usx an able to answer a few questions the recruter couldn't.

When leasing are you able to pick out your truck, get all work and service orders on it, take it to a shop an have it checked out, or do they just throw you the key as if you were company?

I was told there all auto shift, but are the clutch or no cluch?

During the lease are you able to modify the truck, like super singles, dual exhaust, inverters or whatever.

What kind of mpg does the 07 get?

How much of a fuel discount is offered if fuel up at usx network?

Are you allowed to take that stupied camera out and govern off?

    Thanks for your help.

Tom and I had leased with Usxpress and we did great the first year but then the truck kept breaking down and we didn't get much help. So think about that first. Make sure you have plenty of money for hotels incase you run into issues. The payment doesn't stop if you break down or go home for home time. They will not differ a payment. As far as chosing your own truck NO they will not let you do that. If you are in one and would like to take it to leasing they will do that but you have to request it. No clutch in the auto shift. You can not modify the inside of the truck. The mpg depends on the weight of the load and where you are goingand if you can keep it under 70 mph. Stay with the pilots and flying j for fuel, you will get a good rate. You can not take off the camera and you will be governed at 72 mph. Hope this helped.

Thanks wendy for the info. Yea I'm not with usx now so I guess I would have to take what they give me huu. I'm working on 6yrs otr so I know all to well about the break downs actually the truck I'm in now has not had a\c for two weeks now and was towed in 5 weeks ago, so I know lol.

Not sure about a truck with out a clutch, I drove one a few yrs ago and that truck was bouncing like heck with me backing it up lol. Guess I could learn to backem smother.

We have to fuel @flying j as well and get 5cents off advertised price but if I could fuel at a mom n pop by my house I could save 10cent. An I drove a usx truck once back in 09 and wasn't crazy bout the camera but guess its like every thing eles with a new job you gotta get use to.

So you said we "had leased" I'm taking you went back to company? What did you think of usx over all?

I spoke with her twice and I can't even remember her name right off lol.
But she is supose to be the recruter for the o\o & l\o. I also called once and talked to a company recruter to she what she had to say if I wanted to come on as company driver. I was working for total back in 09 when usx bought us out. I had a sweet run but after usx came in they put there driver on the account but I did learn about usx from all the drivers that came threw our austell,ga terminal. It was funny seeing them come threw because you could always spot the new drivers. They would be the ones proped up on the couch ######## while the older guys just hit the shower ordered food an hit the road. Back then I was in a day cab & paid by the hour & mile so I was at the shop a lot.

We stepped out of the lease when we went 6 weeks with out a paycheck. Because the truck kept breaking down we had a rough time. So I called Dave Rogers and begged him to get us out of the truck and he kept telling us to finish the lease. Finaly I said fine as long as you get us out of the truck. Well the end of the lease came and went and not another truck. So when the engin brakes went in it and the XY shifter started messing up again we called again and were told that we would have a truck by July 4 we said ok and held on again. When july came and another trip to the shop they said we were on a list to get one. So with that being said we stopped leasing. We came home for home time and turned our truck in. No matter what we went through out there I liked the people and drivers at USXPRESS. I have a lot of friends that I still talk to. We ran TJMax. I am home now and Tom is still out there. He is Dedicated so he is home every week for 2 days. There is so much more that had happened with them then just what I have stated. I had to get Max Fuller involved 4 times. IF you see any of our friends out on the road some time just ask about us lol they will all tell you what happened.... lol Oh well. I do miss it though.
