You're right they don't have their own DOT Dr., but there's a walk-in DOT Dr. down the street from the Missoula terminal.. same place they do drug testing. It costs $50 the last I heard.
Any questions from prospects or lookers from real Watkins and Shepard drivers?

Watkins/Shepard is on my very short list of prospective employers. I have passed the application and verification process, and all that is left before scheduling orientation is the drug and HPE tests (NO PROBLEM THERE).
My concern is geographic. I spoke to Sandy in recruiting, but would like to hear from drivers. What are the chances of me staying on the West side of the Mississippi River most (80-90%) of the time? I have a lot of experience on the other side of the Big Muddy, and have very little desire to cross it again. Is there enough business to keep a driver on this side of the country, and is Operations/Dispatch willing to do that?
I live in Tucson, AZ, and would be happy as a clam to run the Northwest and Southwest, including California. The only other company on my list runs exclusively in the 11 Western states, but they give me concern with a couple of other issues that I need not go into here.
What do you all think? Would very much appreciate multiple opinions and advice. -
You run where they need you to run, only place regional is the east/northeast. That said, I haven't seen east of Montana in a month.

LTL Freight with multiple stops,
How does it work,, Ie is it a lot of physical work or is it mostly palatalized loads with 50 boxes to unload?? do you have to get re weighed a lot?
Seen hand cart in AT's video so think it might be unstacking and putting on hand cart.
not too sure. was also told that their is a lot of furniture store stops want to know how that is like. If you take a lot of the truck must have to get re weighed
But may be I am just jumping the gun. -
It's easy work. Furniture is all about leverage and pier 1 is furniture/boxes mixed. Not too labor intensive and you get paid for each stop.

I was in Salt Lake City for my DOT physical/drug test at Concentra Urgent Care and decided to go see the Terminal there, it is quite small., I wonder how you can dock there?
still have to go back tomorrow to get card cause my personal doctor has to sign a paper saying everything is ok with my sleep apnea other than that everything is good to go.
when I got home called the dmv to check that my personal doctor sent via fax my F.A.E ( function Ability Evaluation Medical Report)< for the sleep apnea> and the dmv got the fax so now just have to wait for my TSA Background to come back to get my Haz Mat.
my temporary is good till March 2012
It seems like alot of a hassle to be legal, no wonder some just check no on all those DOT physical questions, Don't give them suspicion.
But I would rather do what is right then live with a lie.
Still going to Montana soon. -
weighed a lot? lucky if I weigh it once and that's only if I'm hauling bear, sugar, or flour. Our LTL is furniture...couches, chairs, beds, carpet....etc. Most places driver pushes to the end of the trailer for delivery. Only palletized stuff I've seen that we touch as drivers is Pier 1 loads..lots of little boxes, one by one to the end of the trailer.
