I don't think dave is a loser, 25 years in this country as and owner operator, and in Alaska they made him ride with trainers for like 2 weeks before they turned him loose and he still was leader in the load count and would have won easy.
I just wish everyone wasn't so mean to him here, I wanted to learn more about the show, but he deleated his account. -
I don't think Dave is a loser, 25 years as an owner operator, when he got to the ice roads he had to ride with trainers for like 2 weeks, he still won the load count till they let him go with one day left.
Drivers reputations were forged in this country long before that show came on the air with big fat nasty non bathing non shaving, haven't combed my hair in a week foul smelling pieces of trash driving a pos truck backing into my dock to load freight.
Dave was always clean and presentable and hey, if you want on the show just make some youtube videos, dave's was called broke ##### trucker. thats how he got on, infact he was supposed to be on a year sooner but they had trouble tracking him down.
American Trucker with all his videos has already been contacted by producers to do a show, you could do the same and show America what trucking is really all about without all the scripts and ratings gimmicks. -
I agree with you and will suggest to all those truckers, males and females who keep criticizing this or that one in the show, saying they don't represent the "real" truck driver in the "real" world, blah, blah, blah, go contact the producers and offer to participate. Show everybody what they got in the "real" world of trucking and make some good money in the process.

Take a good long look at these shows.
A couple of years ago, Lisa was broke down with a passenger and they were talking about how risky it was to her, unless she got it fixed or she and her passenger would freeze to death. Did you not notice that there was another vehicle there?
How many real truckers so to speak have the ability to not be excited in this situation because they could freeze? Mainly because there is not another vehicle there.
How many times do you believe someone with 25 years of trucking would really high pin or not check to see if locked on?
It is all staged and I am not impressed with the problems.
Too many other drivers on that very same road seem to get it done without the drama.Last edited: Sep 28, 2011

Or you could shove a large kitchen utensil into an orifice in lieu of participating in trucking for dummies. If your gonna have to be in that much pain it's better tocause it yourself so you can stop it.
Like I said Jack #####, IRT, Axemen,WCW, fear factor, wedding ######, insert inane pos mind numbing drivel show name here........
Never understand it. -
I just happend to be channel surfing and came across it and watched that episode. I think considering the dicussion between dave redmon and rick (and seeing the conditions they were driving in)I don't blame them for leaving.
And I think Hugh Roland will get himself or some one else killed. (of course it won't his fault, just ask him) -
Hugh's a fine driver, easy there hand.
