I have a question. Do superior still hire students from school and also do they hire out of richmond, va?
-
Richmond is not close to any terminal. Closest is Baltimore. You need to live within 50-100 miles because the trucks do not go home with drivers and are parked at terminals
They do hire students from specific schools. Anyone wanting to go that route should call the terminal closest to them and ask the terminal manager. I did just read in the newsletter that they just donated a tractor to Greenville Tech in Greenville SC. Lots of drivers have come from that program.cwc Thanks this. -

Thanks. I don't know where that troll is coming from...unless he is the guy with the flat tire and leaky valve and recognized himself. Or maybe a disgruntled Superior driver who can't stand to read anything positive about the company.
I want someone to let me know when I screw up so it won't get worse. I have had guys tell me on the CB about hoses hanging out when I forgot to latch the the tube or left a toolbox sitting on the catwalk.
I told the guy about it not to make myself feel superior but to help another driver out. Had he not had an air hose I would have loaned him mine. I wrote about it because its a lot more interesting than "got unloaded and headed for home"
Do onto others as you want done to you. My glass is generally half full but what I write here is nothing more than my experiences from my perspective.1catfish Thanks this. -
FUSPCRDRV has a bit of point, just didn't express it well.
With all due respect, and remember I'm sayin' with all due respect, at times the "Tool" does come off as preachy , holier than thou, anal retentive goon.
PS - you can get a big fine for having your hoses hanging out - Improper Load Securement - ouch. I can honestly say I have NEVER done that.wsyrob Thanks this. -
I certainly don't mean to be preachy, holier than thou, anal retentive or a goon Rock. I am just a guy trying to make a living like everyone else.
PS- I know. Had the hoses all the way in the tubes but forgot to lock the flap with the latch spring. They were hanging out about a foot when another driver was nice enough to let me know about it on the CB.
