We ate the Indian food when they first opened. I had high hopes for Indian food on the road.

    Dhillon's disappoints me.

It was clean when we first tried. I haven't eaten in there for months. We don't stop there at all, anymore.

    Don't be racist.

Amarillo truck stops are so wonderful! I'm tired of the drug and hooker chatter on the radio. DEA, it doesn't matter.

We stay at Mom and Pop joints. We had hopes for
Dhillons a couple of years ago. I loved seeing Bollywood videos on the tv. I love Indian food and I would pay a premium for the good stuff.

I have to wait for Indian food, decent tacos and the world to change, again.

My mom and I used to post guys outside the shower room in the '70's.

I'm accustomed to waiting for the world to change.

It's not really being racist or prejudicial, It's just a statement of what is.

I have been in many truckstops in the last few years owned by people from the middle east and every single one of them was horrible, filthy and smelled awful.
The restrooms in every single one of them were disgusting and if you mention to them that the restrooms are in need of cleaning, they look at you like you're from outer space.

It is a sad reality that there are cultural reasons for this and to see it and say something about it is not to be a racist but only to be observant.

I certainly agree with you. Never been in one of these East Indian truckstops that have a clean restroom.

I might be wrong, but it seems to me that culturally, they never want to spend money on maintenance, whether truckstops or their trucks.

That place is called Russell's Travel Center. Its very clean, reasonably priced in the c-store, killer car museum, laundry is cheaper than most, etc. I love this place. Eaten at the cafe once. Was good but a little over priced.

Route 66 is a good stop. Always a place to park and a good buffet. Just expect to pay premium prices for the buffet on Thurs, Fri and Sat.

Dancing Eagle seems to always have plenty of parking. Had the buffet and it was very limited selection and ate on styrofoam plates/bowls,plasticware and styrofoam cups. Was actually pretty good though. Something like $6 or so.

Havent tried Sky City yet but its next on the list.

on the other side on that exit from Dhillons is a little place, nice and quiet. Ok for a burger or burrito and TV free internet washer/dryer inside.
Dhillons was not any nicer when it was Drivermart, truckmart or what ever.
It was always disgusting place since i first stopped there in the 90's

We stopped and ate there, last year. It was clean and I wished them well. We hoped they would do well.

I would love to have Indian food in a truck stop. We stopped in twice more and didn't buy anything.

I would like an Indian truck stop, with Indian food, if it was clean and the food was good.

I was disappointed with Dhillions after 3 trys.
