I just love watching these threads devolve into a discussion of morals, who is right or wrong and eventually drawing lines in the sand. I'm impressed this one took as long as it did.

No, that's not what I was trying to say... and it's not how I interpreted my trainer's statement.... I am a female, he was a male and we were introducing ourselves to each other.

What I was trying to say is that sex life of co-workers should be kept out of their working place, so not to interfere with their relation and their job regardless of their gender.

Back in 1987, Down on Bourbon Street in NOLA. It was halloween and everyone was dressed up and getting crazy at a party. One of my bros friend from out of town is dressed like father Sarducci and we bring this chick was dressed like Medusa and go down the street. after a several drinks the three of us wind up infront of the Parade, one of the Souths most famous Gay Bar. Then, Father Sarducci looks at them and turns to me, then he turns back to the gays on the balcony and screams F. U. and flips them off and looks back at me laughing in a drunken stupor. I said, you should not have done that. He laughs and sez, come on lets Pizza them off. Next thing I know 4 huge dudes wearing black leather with Chains come out of no where and start beating the terd out of this father Saducci guy. I grabbed Medusa and told here to wait while I went back and convinced the 4 big gays that Father Sarducci was drunk and it was his 1st time to Bourbon Street. Needless to say, I was a local straight guy who kept my new friend from going to the hospital. As time has passed my attitude has remained the same. Just because these individuals are homosexual, that does not give someone the right to pizza them off.

Sexual prefrences and religion should be added to that too. I don't care if you're gay or straight. What happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom. I don't want to hear about what you did last light with the lot lizzard. It's none of my business.

As a Christian I believe homosexuality is a sin. As an American I believe it is your constitutional right to live your life as your faith and conscience dictate. The day may come when I expand from a single truck driven by myself to additional trucks driven by others. As a potential employer I can tell you I only care what kind of driver you are and how well do you take care of my equipment.

Gaytrucker begat this thread about one week ago and so far it's generated 20 pages of comments. The OP's intentions have been questioned as to whether his question is sincere or is he just a troll. Either way Gaytrucker deserves to be thanked for bein' the catalyst for what's turned out to be entertaining, educational, and eye opening. It don't get much better'n that.
As a result, I'm more informed (educated) today than I was yesterday.
    I appreciate that.
    :smt045
    Thank you Gaytrucker. :salute:

I'm thinkin' that after hours ol' Carl
was a party animal who's Id had a super ego
in need of a frontal lobotomy.

Just curious, --- do you say that trainer is a _itch because she is a lesbian or because she opined that you're "no good", causing your dismissal?

I'm not sure that's accurate Injun.
If NObody cares I doubt there'd be any problem(s).
I'm thinkin' that there are many who do care, albeit not necessarily for the same reason(s). If the subject is kept outta sight and outta mind, it tends to reduce the concern that those who care harbor within them, --- for whatever reason(s), contempt, compassion, and/or even fear.

In other words, ..... that's how you read it?

    I read it differently.
    Same words though.
In other words, as it was intended to be read
    when it was written.

    You're welcome.

EVERYday is a nice day when folks express their sincere thanks.

With all due respect, others may strongly suspect, --- but they can't "know" for sure unless you inform them.
I'm thinkin' that would be considered a personal problem.
A secret is somethin' best left unsaid. Not even hinted about.
Fortunately there are those who don't find keepin' secrets to be too difficult.
Unfortunately, there are those who let secrets leak, .... too easily.

We have three basic forms of communication,

    1. Telegraph
    2. Telephone
    3. Tellafriend *(insert friend's name)*

The first two methods are known to fail sometimes.
The third on the list is often more reliably dependable.

    I'm thinkin' Anola Gay.
A name made famous when it was painted on the sides of the bomber commissioned with droppin' a 'Fat Boy' (nuke) on Japan, encouragin' 'em to surrender.
    What were y'all thinkin'?

If the OP is a troll, the interest generated and the resulting stimulating conversation might come as a disappointment to him.
    Ya reckon.

By "special" do you mean strive to be a valued employee who exceeds expectations and minimum requirements, --- is firm but easy to get along with, displays a stellar attitude, who can be depended to come through when the chips are down?
If, while drivin' a Big truck down a two-lane highway, you notice a lot of cars parked on the narrow shoulder, --- creating a potentially dangerous situation should one of 'em pull out quickly directly in front of eighty thousand pounds rollin' a mile a minute, ...... without lookin', --- and sure enough, the one with the "Honk if your Homo", (overlookin' the misspellin') license plate frame appears to be about to jet out in front of you without lookin' first.

Now, considerin' the decibel level of a Big truck's Big ol' air horns, would you honk 'em as a warning to pay attention?
Or refrain out of concern that someone might misinterpret your reason for blowin' the horn, under the circumstances?

(If it were me, I'd blast that air horn. Keep 'em guessin' as to why I did that.)

    *Side Bar*
I was once passed by a beautiful pink Pete, --- everything was polished and sparklin' clean. As that pink Pete passed, --- as is customary for me to do, --- I eyeballed the rig for anything that would be of concern that the driver should be made aware of. At the rear of the pink Pete there was a license plate frame that read:
    "I Bet I'm Not".

    I busted a gut laughin'.
Obviously the owner/driver could read the thoughts of others when they found out that the Big pink Pete belonged to him, and he had it painted pink 'cause that's his favorite color.
I'm thinkin' that dude is in touch with his inner-self, and quite secure, --- no doubt.

How "sorry" are you, ....... again?

    I doubt it.
I mean, ...... that would be sooo ....... heterosexual.
    Very tacky.
The flesh is weak and resistin' temptation can be a daily struggle.
Put on the armor and don't leave home without it.

Before you do that, I suggest that you obtain a parade permit, or permission to form a large gathering.
I'd also make sure all the spectators are aware of the origin of the gathering. Otherwise, they might think y'all are a buncha tree huggin' liberals demanding another insect be added to the endangered species list, --- where humans are listed last.
Those tree huggin' weirdos are known to upset some Big truck truck drivers.
    That's up to you.
I seriously doubt that divulgin' personal information is required by any trainers or has any effect on a final score. If the subject seems to be headed that way, ....... tactfully steer away from there.
    HaiL!
Just point out groups of chicks for the trainer to drool over.
    Too twue.
Forgive 'em Lord, --- for they know not how shallow that makes 'em appear.
It's sad to know that policies are thought to be necessary to handle this. If everyone handled situations properly, policies wouldn't be in place to dictate conduct.

I'm inclined to think outside the lines. Lines are too confining and not always easy to see. I routinely run over, under, around or through lines in the sand without even feelin' 'em. Lines drawn in the sand are like a ten foot long section of ten foot high chain-link fence with NO TRESSPASSIN' signs, --- placed in the middle of nowhere. Creatively useless and progress limiting.
Lines should be guides to consider, not blockages to ensnare.

However, I've been told that if one crosses the line in the sand too often,
    they'll go blind.
So, ...... I reckon we know that those who wear glasses made a few crossins'.
I'm impressed too, for several reasons.
I'm very impressed by the candid responses providing first-hand insight, --- well worth their weight in diesel fuel. Not only enlightening, but educational as well. A golden opportunity to expand our horizons and actually learn something, and possibly correct misconceptions we may have had.

I'd rate this thread Excellent, for all audiences. :yes2557:
Two :thumbleft: (and a half) thumbs UP.

    Thanx again GayTrucker.

I predicted you wouldn't read it if it was too long.
I had a reason for extendin' the finish line, ---
I didn't want you to read it.
    As predicted, it seems,
    You didn't.
Neither did I. I just wrote it.
I never read what I write either.

When I write what I write, be it short, and especially when it's long, it tends to appeal to and be read by the more intellectual among us. It's much too far over the heads of numbskulls such as us. So, don't worry 'bout what'cha missed.
    Be happy.

Remember, --- the more we learn, the more we have to forget.
I figure we can't forget what we didn't know in the first place.
    Ignorance is bliss, they say.
And, as an added bonus, ignorance can be a good excuse, ---
If one has a good excuse for bein' ignorant.
I'm thinkin' if I don't actually read what I write when I'm writin' it is a pretty good excuse.

I figure it's better that I'm thought to be ignorant,
than to actually read what I write,
    and remove all doubt.

    Just a thought I think I thunk. :biggrin_25525:
