Which of the three would be the better choice? I know it's pretty much pick your poison but so far these are the only companies that have shown interest. I got a call from PGT yesterday but I didn't go to one of their "approved driving schools" so they can't help until I get at least 6 months experience. I am going to wait out the week to see if I get anymore calls, but right now those are the three I have to choose from. They all have "horror" stories but from what I've read on here, Heartland or Melton are 1/2 and Swift is a last resort. Any advice is appreciated.
Melton Truck Lines, Heartland Express or Swift?

You are right -- no company is perfect and finding the one that suits you best in terms of trailer type, average mileage, hometime, and culture is the key to a long-term employer. Melton is strict on safety, logs, communication, and ontime delivery, but is "home" and "family", if you adhere to those important standards. We can appear a little rigid to folks who are used to running willy-nilly and by the seat of their pants. We train well, have 24 hour assistance from both dispatch and safety, and a mentor program. We are committed to paying in the top 5% nationwide, but do stay gone from home 2-4 weeks, depending on where you live.
