Finally got a call from my DM at 5:30!

Head to Leesburg and P/U a load that was supposed to be picked up at 7AM!..............................WTF!

I was sitting by the phone since 7AM!

Now I have to drive all night after being up since 6AM!

you notice what time it was when you got your load info, just in time for your dm to cover that load before they hit the door to go home.and not drive all night.

 

WTF????? Sounds like you have the same DM my hubby does.

 

they moniter net looking for loads,,,,they always wait and try and snag a desperate load that will pay more to get shipped .. at least they got you a load that will reduce their cost of getting you out ..when freight dries up it helps not to brag about all your great miles you've been getting

 

I get to do the Harley Run from Jackson TN to to Millard in GA and sit until 2300 tmrw , but the Good news I get to dead head 300 miles from knoxville So Not to bad, and I figured the load I delivered today would be the last for the pay period so I got a 600 mile surprise. Yeah me sure did need it. Oh Well.

I of Texas I don't recall ever seeing Harley ever brag about miles, Normally he's getting the same crappy loads I'm getting on fleet 19 and if so nothing to brag about. But you can brag when u don't get uhhh just say the usual.

Well You guys be good. I'm hitting the road. Oh Harley they won't let you sit at millard if you get there early will they? Or do you know how soon they will let you in b4 your apt. Tks bro.

 

For future info. Anyone getting a load to Kansas Meat, it says Kansas Marine on the building. You MUST have an appt. as they are only there Mon.-Fri 7am to 3 pm no exceptions. He waited and went down on Sunday and was there at 9:28 for a 9:30 and they took him right away was there only about 45 mins. Was a nice surprise . Enjoying our time together for a few days, but he did get a mail message from Dm saying whats up why were we second to last on the miles. Go figure. No miles no trips over 900 and 3 days or more to get there. Doesnt take a genius to figure all that out. Anyway everyone stay Safe.

 

Got my 260 mile run in after all,pulled 4 diff trls yestrdy and 467 miles,another 360 mile 2day. B4 yall otr boys laugh we only need, or I only need rather, 350 miles a day at regional cpm 6 days a week, with most of sat and all day on sun off, to make a good check. Dam was that sentence long enough?.... Lmao. Anybody had to take the sleep study test for sleep apnea,which I don't have,that jbs requires if your bmi and neck size is too big?? Btw I am 6'2 300 lbs and yes I can see my feet standing lookin down and I only wear a 2x shirt. People say I'm built like a brick shat house but I still have to take that dam sleep study,hope our ins covers it like they said they would or I'm unemployed.

 

Sitting in Riverside waiting to drop at Castle and Cooke, pulled over down the street to wait untill 05:00 on the 5th, I have 5 cars behind me that have people living in them, on car in front, Earlier a p/u came by and handed out food to them. We complain on here on different aspects of our jobs, How big is you car?

 

I noticed that before I left California. I lived over in Fontana. There were and still are PLENTY of cars, vans, etc at the Twin-TA's in Ontario with families living in them. When I lived in the Pasadena area, there was a group of cars and one van in Pasadena at the Ralph's grocery store with families living in them.

Now you know why I left Kalifornia.

 

I have been reading this thread. I am on e logs and getting around 3000 miles a week. Its all in the planning so you dont sit and wait. I dont think after 18 years of doing paper logs..i would ever want to go back...
