Pffttt....Just completed a turn to MO and back to Houston, ALL the truck stops were full by 9pm. There was a Love's in Hope,AR that had all the fuel islands full and a line about 12+ trucks deep spilling out onto the street at 1pm in the middle of the day. No slow down here...
Empty truck stops?

You must be looking at mid day or something. Most TS I find are nearly full or full by 7 PM.

I just found a spot at the I-70 exit 28 Petro in Missouri. Finding a spot here was comparable to a WWE cage fight.

A truck stop in New England still consists of parking on the side of a road somewhere to sleep, lol. Seems the stops are full 24/7 out here.

Im a SE regional driver last couple of weeks I have been noticing a lot of carriers that are rarely seen on the east coast,,,Hands out of the NW region really, asked a few why they so far from home(one guy in memphis actually asked me what was best way to Atlanta,LOL) he said his company had run out of options on the Upper west cost so they started to run east of I-35 for the first time,,
Have seen a lot of Pacific North West "Strays" on the East coast, and Hands from Cali
