Sleep is overrated.

OR-3 is driving while sleeping. Skills to be mastered include parallel parking in the ditch, collecting 100 orange and white construction zone barrels under the front bumper & how fast can 4 firemen cut you out of an overturned KW700.

I am SO ready, right now.

Ending out week two in school. Waiting for DPS road test Tuesday. Have all my shifting paterns down well, no problems on the road this week. Mike asked me who I drove for before I came to Stevens, talk about an ego boost. I have never even been in a Semi before I came to school. Break test is memorized and applied.
Drove 57 miles today...haha... nothing to you drivers but everything to me. Never hit a curb or missed a gear up or down. Loving it!!! We will see how Tuesday goes, keep you updated!!!nascarchuck Thanks this. -
You sound like a student pilot who has just completed the first solo flight. Well played, young man, well played.

I'm fine with 5 hours. I'm struggling with the long breaks with this 19/8 training crap. Feel like I'm sitting around TOO much!
-
Congrats to you on all the shifting and driving. I almost wish I could have been with all of you.
-
just remember 10 hours of shut down time every day once you go solo. Get used to the down time, and find something fun and relaxing to do with it. Or else you will go crazy.

Hey Triple D thanks for the advise
...... hope everything is going well for you. Thanks to God i already have my CDL Class A License and also have the Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement, what i dont have is experience driving a truck. i did everything on my own, (written Test, Road test and the written test for the endorsements) and a friend let me borrow his truck so i can go do the road test over here in NY. But that was long time ago ( like May 2011) So i have to be honest and say that i dont remember the basic stuffs that you study on the DMV book and also because i dont have the practice every day, since i am planning to go in February to Stevens i was going to start reviewing the book in November this year, so at least i will go with some knowledge, also thank God i dont have any medical problems and dont take any medicine or do any drugs ( i have never ever did drugs in my life, and i swear on my soul) and my BP is 120/80. The only thing that i do is smoke cigarrettes but i am trying to quit, i dont drink so i think that in that part i will not fail, i really appreciated your advice
its nice to see that there is drivers that work for Stevens that they help eachother out and i respect that very much, i will try not to step on the white line or run over some obsticles jejeje i promise
Ever since i was a little kid i wanted to drive a truck for a living.... My Dad was a miner.... And he use to drive the big trucks and also did a lot of mine blasting, i believe he was an expert with dinamite blasting i grew up watching my Dad doing his work, He past away 2 years ago so i believe that he would be proud of me if i become a truck driver and also like i said its one of my dreams. Well i hope i didnt put you to sleep with my #### chat, and also hope that one day we can meet up..... I really wish all the best and keep hanging in there Dont give up.....
Talk to you soon and be safe......
