and how much will these magnetic plates on the truck weigh? That alone would hamper the idea.

 

Ok....well then if we want to set a finish date for 2100, let's begin!!

We got where we are over a LONG period of time.

 

But it doesn't really matter that it's spread out over many vehicles, fuel still has to be burned to recover the kinetic energy lost to the generation system. And those BTUs are more efficiently converted to electricity at a power plant. A system such as this only has zero fuel cost if is used to recover energy normally lost to braking.

 

I would love to see someone do something like that.

I truly believe that we could all have free energy at this very time [think Tesla] Except that the powers that be could not have that!!, now could they? So due to a mysterious fire that destroyed most of the work of Tesla. And after his his death the rest of the research and development that he had on the subject of free energy was conficated by U KNOW WHO! and sequestered away to to some secret installation [ sub level 33 ] never to be seen again.[ Much like BONNIE the waitress ] lol I suppose that at some point in time, if mankind don't self destruct, free energy will be available to the world. At this point in time tho-- I just don't really give a ####!

 

Its being burned anyway! [fuel] to get from a to b. Why not take the motion created and use a portion of it to do the electrical thing? I do understand that it would not be the total amount of energy needed to make the wheel go round, but it could be some! above and beyond other electrical supplys. Wind, Hydro, solar, ect. Also this thought-- use the kinetic energy of gravity on downhill sections of interstates that's free for the taking! --- I want my free bubble up and rainbow stew!

 

The problem I see is most reefers are set below freezing. Your truck would get way too cold!
