I was terminated from my last position. It was a non-driving position. My conversation with the Central recruiter went like this:
Recruiter: I see you were terminated from your last position. Was that a driving job?
Me: No, it was not.
Recruiter: That termination's a problem. There's nothing I can do. *Click*

lol. yeah that sounds like them.
-
Well if they are only concerned with being terminated from your "last job" then couldn't that by bypassed by going and working for a pizza place as a delivery driver for a couple weeks before applying or any job for that matter that you can be actively on even if its part time?
-
reason for being terminated matters also not just that you WERE terminated.
-
Question is how long ago were you terminated and why?
-
I was terminated back in May for being out sick during the probationary period. The recruiter I talked to at Central hung up before I could explain the situation.
-
Are you collecting unemployment? If not, the recruiter is right. I was terminated wrongfully, and they(Central) knew it. I was however, collecting unemployment, which was proof I was wrongfully terminated.
-
I was terminated for the same reason. I'm currently applying for unemployment and waiting to see if I get it while looking for other work.

Just checking in. Have not posted in a while. I'm sitting in CO at a McDonalds (free wifi). Heading up to WI in the morning. So far all has been good. My backing is getting a lot better. I seem to have been bitten by the tire bug. In the last month I have had 2 trailer super singles blowout, a supersingle drive, quasi blowout (I heard a hiss and thought I had an air leak so I pulled off into a Loves to find I had a flat) I have also had 3 trailers with flat inner dules that I picked up from crswvc and they were flat within 100mi. Last night I had my left steer blow out while going 65+ down hill and curving right, I'm still picking seat out of my, well you know. Even with all this I am still loving it. I make aboue $600/week my best week was $1200, but that was because of some late trip packs, and I get home every 3-4 weeks. Anyone thinking about it should just do it.
Diner Man, bayougirl and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -
