All is well, here in E. Brunswick,nj. Do smith training, and some more log practice today, half the orientation class will leave this afternoon, then us regional guys will leave thursday with our trucks. Only bad news is we were told they will be phasing out the freightliners, going to 1 manufacturer which will be internationals. Im still hoping to drive a cascadia, but we will see.
-
Passed everything, here in orientation. However now being told we may have to wait for a truck or they rent a car and pay us to go get a truck or go home and call every day when they have a truck. We were also told we will probably get a cascadia or columbia. The class has been long as most major carriers are but was well worth it. So find out tomorrow after 10am if were going home or going to get our tractors.

Congrats! We'll see you out there! Just remember to park your truck in a safe spot when you take it home. I usually do the pay for parking deal at the truck stop that's only a block away from my house. It's around $5 for every 24 hours, but, im usually out after about 10-12 hours. I get home for supper about 2 days a week on the southwest regional. If I get lucky and get the big parking spot in front of the house, ill save me the $5 and park it there.

Thanks! Home now, Only 1 of us from n.e. regional got a tractor, but there was a driver with a trailer from a Maryland dedicated account, so I talked to him, Long story short, instead of catching the greyhound home i, rode down with him, find out about that account, he made some phone calls, so today i have to decide if i want to be on that account(Would get me home sat/sun. and through the house through the week). Thanks for the info. on here. Everyone has different experiences, nice to read through them all.

Decided against the come home every weekend job! Really wanted to drive that Cascadia though, However I have a brand new Prostar with 1,600 miles on it, less cab room but i saw that inverter and fell in love, Put some of my stuff in it yesterday. I will get to drive it today! So I will see if its good or not, or if i like it!
-
Yea, those invereters are nice....how about the sirius xm radio? since it's a new truck make sure you call the 800 # that's on the screen of the radio to activate you xm acct. If it's not already on. If any issue, I would have the shop do it.

Hey Erick, I've been reading your post trying to gain some insight. Thanks for the good information. I start JB Hunt Orientation Moday 10-17-2011 in Chicago for the intermodal fleet. I was at C.R. England which was my first driving job.

Yeah I was wondering about the radio, was going to activate my own but, someone had told me it might have came with it. Thanks for the heads up!
