No wonder they are always hiring. Glad I went in another direction. Does anyone have anything good to say about them?:biggrin_2551:

Everything was great for me even being local until about 2 months ago. Our hours were cut back from 70 to around 50. Then a couple nights ago I went in to work and found letters stapled to everyone's time card's stating that we were being cut back to 42 hours a week (3 1/2 days). I stewed on it for part of the night, clocked out and left on another adventure to find a new job where I can make a living and not chump change. All in all it has been great until this hit below the belt because they are trying to save money while starving out drivers. I'm now looking for a job in hauling salt water or fuel delivery for the local drilling rigs.

That sucks. I think everything is slowing down again. It looks like we are headed back into recession. It kinda seemed like things were picking up there for a while but in the last 2 months or so its slowing down again. I took a local job and it was going good up until the last month or so. For the last few weeks I have been lucky to work 3 days a week. It's getting really old being sent home because of no work. Guess I'll be looking for something better as well.:biggrin_2552:

I feel your pain GMC. I went and applied for a few oil field jobs and have had my phone glued to me the past few days. Most are telling me to give it about a week to hear something back sence their HQ's are not in my area. Then on the other side my phone is annoying me with all the bill collectors blowing it up. Nice to see they help keep ones stress level near the line of destruction.

You didn't want to do OTR with Tango? I got a call the other day saying they were hiring regional drivers again in my area. The recruiter said they needed to hire 200 drivers by Thanksgiving. I wonder if they picked up some new accounts or is this just to replace those who quit. LOL.
well good luck in your search. I haven't found anything yet. I guess if I get desperate I can go to Tango!!:biggrin_25523::biggrin_25523:

Tango actually lost several accounts such as music mountain water and minden box. I figure it wouldn't be long before the account was lost where I was at Slack/IP. They are gaining a high turn over rate sence they went e-logs. People are all saying the same thing about the lack of miles and going broke. Many of the shuttle drivers used to be OTR and regional but left for the better paying shuttle jobs which now don't pay anything. I guess tango figured if their road drivers were suffering, then we might as well suffer too. Still no luck on my end.

They are using recruiting services now too. The guy that called me said the drivers he had hired were getting around 2700 miles a week and getting home every weekend. LOL

Well, if your located in the right area, the home time is about right but thats about the max miles you'll see. Still no luck on my end. May either have to go back on the road or find a new career. Either way, no matter whats it's doing, money is money.

Tango was underbid on Music Mountain Water...dunno by who..will go take a look see next time I have time to drop trailer...Minden box was told to shove it by Tango..Tango was tired of them ordering trucks and then have the truck set on location for 8-12 hours waiting on the product to be made...guess Tango got tired of paying detention time..LOL
