Tickets typically stay on your MVR for 3 years, although some states, like Florida, have a 7 year MVR. With that said, anything from 1994 wouldn't be seen on an MVR.

Did you not pay them? If you did then no worries!:

I'm still confused with the points issued for speeding maybe it's just me but...If I receive a speeding ticket in Vermont 1 1/2 years ago in the truck then receive a speeding ticket in my car while driving in my home state of PA how do I know how many points I have?
Does my car insurance get notified of the out of state points?Last edited: Oct 19, 2011

You personal insurance will usually have a copy of your MVR report and they can possibly send it to you, but that's entirely up to them. Not too long ago, I ordered a copy of mine and it listed everything with and with points. Another thing to keep in mind is what's considered a point based violation in one state may not be in another. Speeding however is universal.

Get a DAC report, that's the one that counts for drivers. It's a credit report, one copy a year is supposed to be free (I think, but not 100% sure).

Most queries go back, at most, 10 years.
