Have just finished CDL school and considering Conway very seriously. Have researched allot of the student friendly companies and Conway by far seems better then the rest. This might sound as an odd question but as a rule, what does Conway haul and where do they generally deliver to? I have read some post that lead me to believe that allot of their freight goes to Conway yards and ltl yards. Is this true of most of their freight or are most of the deliveries to "customer" type stops? Could not really think of another way to phrase this. Any help would be appreciated.

most of it is to regular customers, but there are definetly more than a few loads that go from one Conway frieght to another... I like those loads because they are usually drop n hook and usually have good miles... last time I had one.. I picked up at CWF in L.A. and delivered in St Louis which was 1850 miles if i remember correctly...

but yeah most of it is just regular live load/unload stuff.. we don't have as much drop n hook as a lot of the other companies... though some fleets seem to have more etc.. but for me its about 60/40 live vs drp n hk ....

but to be honest I don't mind waiting the 1-2 hours to get loaded/unloaded because so much else is good about conway... my favorite thing about the company is that you do get long haul loads as a solo driver...

I've had atleast 1 load of 1000 miles+ a week, since starting... and a lot of 800mile range loads, which atleast give you one full day of just driving without having to pu or deliver, which i like.. sure occasionaly loads are shorter or you may do a short load in an area, but when they get you out they get you down the road most of the time..

I have friends that work for a lot of other big companies and a lot of them say pretty much every load they get is 500-600 miles,
