There's a large US map in the RMCA that shows the time zones, plus the borders are shown on the detail state maps.
RMCA - Rand-McNally Motor Carriers Atlas, aka the "bible."eastcoastguy1975 Thanks this. -
Well its official, I'm going to Mo. I leave on Sunday and its going to be a long ride from Ca. Hope to meet some of you in person.
-
Only way I know what time it is is by looking at my phone.....I live in the CT zone so that helps. Up til lately I spent the whole time figuring "where am I going to be at rush hour?" Now I just don't care...... spending an entire day driving through new jersey cured that. FYI... the RMCA coordinates with their GPS. I got the 510 model.
Hope to see ya there Ama -

i heard this is better then any rand mcnally gps -
The "Bible" is the Rand McNally Motor Carrier Road Atlas. Its a book, not an electronic device.
They will not let you leave the terminal on your first load solo without one. (among other things)
Last thing in the world you want to do is blindly trust a GPS... even one that is labled "trucking" Updates are only as good as the user who hooks it up to the system and gets/pays for them. Read the forums on the various GPS units... there are complaints -
Yup... absolutely spot on. Also it depends on how well you know the machine to work around problems.
You really need the RMCA maps to be able to do a sanity check on what any GPS is telling you - and then don't blindly trust the thing, whether it's considered a "trucking" GPS or not. -
So true. I have 2 RM units, a 510 and a 710, both bought within the past 6 months and both up to date. I put both units in the same vehicle going to the same location, and both set up the same. One unit tells me I cannot legally make the trip and the other says "head this way."
Neat, huh? -
Hey ama, I'll be rolling in on Tuesday the 25th. Hope to see you there.
