My name is Ashley and I am married to a.....truck driver...what else? lol I'm 27, we have no children yet and I am new to this forum, but not to the trucking lifestyle. Still wet behind the ears on it though I guess you could say because my husband has only been driving for right at 2 years now. He and I met/started dating on Valentine's Day in 2006, was married 2 years later on May 30th and 3 months after we were married, he got his CDL and started driving...lol I've only been on a ride along once with him, about to go for my second go around in a few days.
The first time was fun, a little boring, but fun. lol It was in a freightshaker, so I got nauseous from all that bouncing at first, but I quickly adapted. This time around, I know exactly what to expect, so I'm duly prepared and just waiting for him to roll in, get his TAH over with and we can leave. lol
I have a warped sense of humor, nothing much offends me. Anything else you may want to know, just ask. I'm just a simple KY girl, was born and raised in Lexington, now I live in a quiet country setting. My hubby calls me a city slicker on the outside and pure country on the inside. I guess that's all I have to say for now. I'm sure there will be more to come in the future. I'm just looking for people who have been there and can understand our situation. This is a hard life for both the driver and their spouse/significant other. It helps having support when the going gets rough.
Have a good night everyone!![]()
