I am a experienced driver new to Roehl. I am at the Ellenwood, GA location. So far they have done everything they said was going to happen. They provided me with a rental and the motel as planned. The first day (Monday Morning) was Qualification Day. I passed the backing and road test. We also took drug test--both hair and urine. They provided lunch aat 11:30 and a voucher to Piccadilly's for later in the day at dinner. Today is Tuesday and we reviewed the Roehl Way system, talked a bit about the Quailcomm, and took ID pictures. Wednesday is more paperwork and get badges and review I guess. Be back tomorrow to let you know what Roehl has in store for me then...

Welcome, also did they tell you in Orientation that if a flatbed driver pulls up to the fuel island van drivers have to move and let the flats fuel first because they are so awesome? They probably forgot to tell you, so that's why I mention it. :)

I don't think you understood what they told you. Flatbedders are suppose to only use the pump farthest from the door. There are two reasons for this rule. One, because you guys seem to take forever to fuel, reload straps and tarps and I've even seen one guy polishing his storage boxes in the island while people were waiting for fuel. The second reason has to do with how dirty you guys are....:biggrin_2559::biggrin_25525: :biggrin_25522:

LOL. Well let me just tell you how embarrassed my flatbed tractor was to be pulling a van today!

If I recall, today while I fueled in Gary there was one lane flatbedders were using and the van guys had the other 3. I saw a curtain, myself, and another flat all fuel while the three vans were still there. :yes2557:
Hygiene??? Well, I won't comment there, but I will say that Van has there fair share of drivers who forgot where the laundry and showers are at in any terminal or truck stop.
