How bad can it get with Werner

    I am trying to get 6 otr experience, any suggestions of good companies out there? Every Werner driver I talk to is not happy with them. They set up some kind of driver relations deal, that's not a good sign. Most sit too long, others say their jacking their pay. I hear they can't keep drivers and are losing accounts. I was told dispatch will send a qualcom for you to call them. Then they can ask you to do things off the record, and then its your word against there's. Who's going to believe the new driver. Thanks for any advice.

    If you go with Werner a Recruiter came to our school and told us that all Werner company trucks have water beds, 55" tv's, and Microwave/refrigerated all in one units in the sleeper. As well as a massaging driver's chair. :biggrin_255:

    Three people in my class wanted to go to werner. I just kept my mouth shut and gave them the link to this website. The search button can be very useful.

    It seems like big name companies are not good to go with. Go with WEL. A buddy of mine works there and likes it and said he might just stay with them.

    werner has major problems, their milage pay is based on not only the miles but also the benefits. When you get your first paycheck you should check it well. If you are a student they usuallypay you 300.00 per week if youare lucky. I am talking from experience. You will starve to death.

    A student recorded the Werner rep and didn't tell the rep until after the presentation, the rep went off!...We all had a good laugh and knew that was not a company we should consider...

    Werner is a company that will use you as a team driver just to get their freight from point A to point B. All of their driver complaint of low pay and some have to live off food stamps just to make it. To sum it up, "STAY AWAY FROM WERNER" at all cost. Their Altanta terminal has a Safety Trainer, Jim, who is a ####### and MS. Bell doesn't have the respect to look you in your face and tell you the true. But one day this will change, Werner is heading down the Toilet.
