    My dad is 68 and still flatbeds with us. He usually goes out 2 wks out of the month.

    so far you guys say flatbed pays a few more cpm but flats dont get as many miles,have longer to get there but dont wait as long to get unloaded and a new load.so pay wise which one do you think is better?

    Pay wise.... I was told any division will equalize. We get the other bonus's though. Also more pride on flatbed side.

    Not yet. Getting some work done, hopefully by this weekend.

    Im sure yall do lol Sadly... our flatbed specific macros still ask about the door seals... Still dont know where Im supposed to be putting a rear door seal...lol

    Really? On the reefer side, I usually am unloaded in 2 or 3 hours. There are places that are gawdaful slow, but I'd say that they are the exception. Flatbed usually requires some expensive equipment to unload them... if the receiver is paying for that by the hour, yeah, they want it done quick.

    I think it equals out... the higher per-mile rate on the company side is to even out the advantage in miles the reefer guys get.

    Pride and $5 will get you a fancy cup of coffee... if the reefer guys remembered to deliver the coffee!
