Prime Inc driver thread

Thanks and your welcome for the military service. Sorry I wont be able to see you at Prime yet. I am going to complete a local CDL school first, just down the road. Found out my GI Bill will now pay for it and pay Housing allowance to boot! Cannot pass up the extra money and "own" my CDL.

Also have some other lose ends to tie up before I can commit to being away from home. Much like getting ready to deploy. Of course, like that, I could "bug out" if I had to.

I'll keep ready the post to see how it's going for you new guys.

If your going to use your GI bill to go to school use it to go be an engineer or something, you know an expensive education. Dont waste it on going to go get your CDL, a lousy 3k.

 

Appreciate the thought. I already have a degree, plus do basic satellite engineering in the Reserves. Just want to drive and get a fall back skill-set in case things change down the road. The 3k is not all of it. It is still there after that and for my wife as well. Job market in the Space biz is tough right now, so I need a new gig.

 

Why not further your education in your desired field? You have a degree and do basic satellite engineering furthering your education in either one will get you farther and more successful then driving a truck will. Thats my 2 cents anyway, suit yourself! I made the mistake of wasting my GI bill so I hate seeing it when others do it.

I don't know. I keep sitting right up front with my Arizona Cardinals shirt on. There are only like 12 Cardinals fans in the country, what are the odds that two of us would be here at the same time? LOL

I am done with lease orientation. As of yesterday, I am twentieth on the list to get a truck. Wow. But so far, I have met Big Cheese, Silenteagle, and ORD. Everyone is great. It seems like Prime and I are going to see eye to eye on lots of things. Their way of doing business lines up very well with mine. This looks like it will work out well for me. When I finally get my truck...
