Like having relatives 50 miles from you destination or 75 miles off the beaten path that you want to visit cuz you got the time. Poor trip planning.

I used to work in the school @ cre, everyweek we would have dirty drug tests & yes security will escort you from property, have seen a few fights, they were escorted too..
Going out to the bar a coming back smelling of alcohol will also get you escorted with no ticket home...
Do you really believe these people deserve a bus ticket home? after all it was clearly on a app about drug tests & we all know you fight or drink at work then your fired right?
Any normal reason they will give you a ticket home, even if you just fail the tests or can't get your permit,
Once had a federal authority call & ask to try to keep a person there who had federal warrants....
As truck drivers we apply for jobs all over the country, If your worried about being left somewhere then maybe you should look closer to home for a job.. -
That sux, I work there & would not condone that behavour, No wonder you hate CRE.....lol

Transportation to and from the company terminal is your responsibility, and your responsibility alone. It is not the companies obligation to ensure you get home on time off/termination. If transportation is a issue, try working for a company that has a terminal closer to your home.
-
Please tell us what company does this?

If that happened to me there would be a certain dispatcher who would be getting a visit from dirty tired angry TRUCKER:smt074 -
If the reason you were terminated doesn't have anything to do with losing your license, most companies will offer you a ride home for returning their truck.
But then, other companies are just not human. -
When it comes down to the time some one went to the bar by the hotel and got wasted, then went to class, or the guy that legitimately failed a random or pre employment, screw them. I'm talking about a class mate that passed everything, and got pulled minutes before being handed his completion certificate. My friend who was escorted off the salt lake terminal for 'tresspassing', two minutes after handing over the keys to the truck he was no longer leasing. Things of that nature. Not to mention the dozens of sexual harassment claims filled by students being left in a state 1200 miles from home.

Out Of Route... miles?
Few years ago, the office gals sent us a memo with our check saying that we HAD to overnight our paperwork via UPS by Saturday or would not get paid the following friday... NO EXCEPTIONS (We all called her Penny... as in 'Pincher'). They even set this up at our local UPS drop site.
Ok... boss wants us all to run loads on the weekend...
The problem? We are 400 miles round trip away from the drop site that will get the overnight UPS on the truck/plane ASAP...
What do we all do? (5 of us) We all run down there the night after we dropped our loads, and UPS our paperwork then run back to get another load... Then, call boss and tell him not to worry, paperwork will be on Penny's desk on time Monday morning.
Boss, "How the hell did you guys do that"?
We tell him... and fax him the memo.
Seems Penny will have to really pinch them pennies as she doesn't have a job anymore... LOL
