Watsontown trucking or Classic Carriers

Watsontown just offered me a job last week, but I had just started another job a couple of days before. Let us know how you make out.

 

sounds like why a bunch of guys are leaving ffe they are quick too get their money from u but slow to give u what u r owed had a friend owed 385 dollars he even showed them where he sent in paper work and they still argued with him they are becoming the swift of the refer world good luck

 

I worked for watsontown out of milton,pa i must chime in on this . I agree a good company to me may not be to another driver. Watsontown is really not a bad company in some ways , but yes but heres some of good then ill tell you bad, you get benefits from day 1 you are issued a company cell phone for all bussiness calls.There equipment is even in good shape i hade a brand new kw t660 . you get 2 personal days off the bat when you start . i was a local driver so i got paid 19 a hour. Bad if you get a good dispatcher like with any company you can do very well here . Me i got a real jack ### that didnt care about nothing . he gave me 60 hours a week to start then he started to give me 60 one week then 25 next . He didnt care if you got 80 hours or 2 . he would ignore his phone wehn you called for somenthing important . every load you pick up and deliver will be late . cause it was suppossed to be picked up a week earlier at least. I told him i needed more hours so he dropped me to the end of the list . He even stopped giving me any hours at all so after i complained he gave me 10 hours a week while other drivers got 50 . well it wasnt just me 90 percent of drivers were not getting hours. one driver was there 3 months and never worked more then 30 hours a week. he would not give you what you need to do your job would tell you to take a load with no paperwork which for me i would refuse to do so. he really is a cold hearted idiot that really did not care about his drivers . he really screwed one of our drivers he was scheduled for 3 months to go on vacation her told him 3 months in advance he needed to be out of work at 4 pm on a friday to catch a flight. well needless to say the day b4 he told him that he wasnt allowed to take off now cause he had 2 drivers that got fired so he couldnt have off well he really had to fight for this and yet needless to say he didnt make it. you can call the owner can call safety call call anyone you want nothing will be done about this like many companies you must do everything as your told or u wont make it . all in all in some ways there a good company but really in many there not . when i quit they cancelled my health insurance the same day i quit. which is really messed up cause i should have at least a week or to end of month cause i get paid the week b4 what i did so they take it out of your check but this company does not care about there employees only if the load gets there all they care about. so im not telling anyone what to do but in my opinion this company i would stay far far away i would never work for them cause they are just like the rest . so save yourself the bs.cause many drivers all they do is complain like many companies unless there a company guy . Just my 2 cents.

I was thinking of going to watsontown as a mid regional or regional. I live only 10 minutes from their yard. Thundercat, you have any idea how those classes of drivers make out $$wise?

 

I drive for watsontown now like the job not the company I am a OTR driver and they give you 1 OTR run about 1200 miles then bring you back to Milton PA and use you local for couple days at .40 cents per mile not to good on payday.
