Home Depot DC, in Glenn Dale, MD.

The hours to unload are like 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. If you book a load for them doesn't matter if what time of day you get there, you will have to unload early the following day in the morning between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. Plan on waiting around til the next day.
One broker told me that a lot of Home Depot DC's are like this.

Some are good....Some are better.....Some just suck....

The Home Depot by Fort Bliss....The manager threatened to call the police because I parked (After asking the employees three times where they wanted me to park) in front of the garden section to unload...Garden Block.....:biggrin_25526:

Now the Home Depot in Las Lunas, NM actually took an unscheduled Saturday load....Imagine that....A store manger who could think outside the box.....:biggrin_25517::biggrin_25514:

Home Depot..I had one recently that took a load a day early. I told them it would be to their advantage to unload it now, while they weren't busy- instead of dealing with it first thing in the morning. It was after receiving hours but they took it off and thanked me.

It's a gamble, you never know how it will turn out until you try..

    Lowe's....:biggrin_25523:

I love dropping at their DC's.......

    Example:
0800 appointment with a tarped load......Don't show up at 0730 in front of the gate....You'll be turned away....And don't untarp on the street either....You won't get through the gate if you do...

Show up at exactly 0800....The guard will give you your parking assignment....
You go to your assigned spot to untarp.....Forklift driver comes over to ####### you out because he/she has to wait for you to untarp....

As oft repeated to me at the various Lowe's DC's I have been to thus far by all of the forklift operators...

"An 0800 appointment means you are parked, untarped, and ready to be off-loaded at precisely 0800!!!!!"..... :biggrin_25526::biggrin_25521::biggrin_25513: :biggrin_25523:

Much better....they want you there early so they can get their work done early. I like that kind of attitude.
