so you have to have 160 hours from a truck driving school refresher program? then go out with a trainer for which ever company hires you?

Depends on the carrier. There's quite a bit more to it than just grippin' the wheel and jammin' gears.

I talked to a guy here in Springfield that could not get over the fact that I am not going out with a trainer. :biggrin_2559: And yes, I am still in Springfield waiting for a truck. :biggrin_25518: As of Friday afternoon, I was number fifteen on the waiting list. There is no chance of not waiting, its the name of the list! :biggrin_25523: Maybe tomorrow...

Personally, I only was faced with waiting once... took an old beater out for 60 days instead of hanging out. Similar circuimstances... not enough output from the truck factories to keep up with industry demand.

That may be what I wind up with. No problem, if you look at the big picture. An old "beater" here will still be an upgrade from the million miler Pumpkin truck I just turned in. And it's not like it's not like it's a permanent situation.

Thanks ORD. It always seems longer than it really is.
