Are they air controls or cable.
-
How's the vent on the hydraulic oil tank?
-
Yep....That's the main cause....Plugged vent......
-
-
it has a pump mounted under the truck that runs off the pto and i have a lever that is air controlled that lifts the bed and lower the bed...the vent if im not mistaken is the cap that goes on top of the oil tank..has the holes in the bottom with some sort of stuff in it..ill check that tomm and see if i can clean it or just replace it...this thing just takes to long to go down now..thanks for the info guys ill check the cap ..mike
-
Another thing to check is the slide on the pto pump, make sure it's moving the full distance. Have somebody in the cab working the up/down lever and you watch underneath to make sure. Sometimes just a shot of WD40 once in a while helps.

the slide is the thing that the cable is hook to right???? i will check that also....thanks mike
-
If it's air operated it'll be a shiny cylinder about 1" in diameter on the left side of the pto pump...it should slide about 2-3"....(this is how mine is, yours could be different). Sometimes that slide gets crapped up and either slows the hoist or stops it.

ill look at that cause that's what i have....that has the cable hooked to it that runs to the bed..thanks mike
