Welcome to the wonderful world of refrigerated truck driving. At least you will have almost a full 10 hr break in before your loads ready.

Arrived at Purdue in VA. Typical meat plant. Tight, dirty, smelly...and pouring down rain!
Trying to find a place for the trailer to drop. Took over for my student. Place was nearly impossible. Finally got it dropped, but not before I clipped a parked Purdue truck's headlight.
Just when I was ready to get off of Fleet 50!
I think Harold may get me a Fleet 50 patch to wear on my sleeve. Parade me in front of the orientation class with an admonishment..."this sorry looking excuse for a driver..."
Rain to beat the band this morning. Got them to re route us to a southerly route on this load and miss most, if not all of the snow.
It's a Costco load for Morris, IL, so we're going via Charlston, Dayton, instead of Philly, Pittsburg.
On a good note, we stopped at two different diners in the last day or so and had some terrific meals. Crab cakes, broiled flounder...good chowder.
Gotta love the east coast seafood.
    Stay warm everyone.

I just tell them I have to scan the seal sheet in to get the truck started. Then when they doubt me, I invite them to turn the key and try and get the engine to turn over.
I tell them it's a safety thing. Meantime, I'm parked in the gate...no one in or out!
They sign, I get out of the way. :biggrin_2559:
