Not sure about the KW, but they either used a mechanical gauge with an air line plumbed into the intake manifold somewhere, or an electronic gauge. The mechanical gauge shouldn't be too hard to install. If it needs to be electronic the easiest way is to see if the wiring and plug for the gauge is already there and it is just a matter of installing and plugging it in. I see a call to your local dealer in your future!

Should be mechanical.... look for a 1/4" plug south of the charge air cooler on the intake. Guage should come with plumbing too.
Do like Heavy said and snoop behind the dash for the plug in..... be the easiest way if it's electric and hooked to the ECM.

I have an 05 w900l with a cat and my gauge is mechanical. Just call the parts guys at Kenworth for a gauge and some tubing. They can even show you on their computer where it hooks into the intake. It's easy, and no truck should be built without one.
