Im hoping it goes good, have been researching the newb programs for a few months now and Prime seemed to be they way to go. Wife is even happy with me doing it taking a 50%+/- pay cut so this seems like it should be a win.

Welcome DR, although I just got here myself. If I was starting out today, this is where I would be.

I don't know how to post pics on this thread, but I uploaded three to my album, which should be available for anyone interested to view. BTW, uploading these three pics on Verizon 4G...lightning fast!

The slower speeds lead to much better fuel economy. Keep in mind that driving something this big is very much unlike your experience in a 4-wheeler. You're managing a 450-hp-or-so powerplant and 80,000-ish pounds of truck. And yeah, you and your right foot (hey! got the right one that time!!) are responsible for as much as 30% of your fuel consumption. If you can't put a muzzle on it, the company has a way of getting your attention!

The slower speeds have lead to the lowest accident rate that Prime has ever had... and that means you are much less likely to get pulled into a scale house - it still happens, but a lot less frequently. The idiots doing "the flying by" are responsible for maintaining clearance and avoiding slower vehicles. If they can't do that, they have no business driving an 80,000-pound vehicle at 75mph or 10mph.

Skunk-boy, or that clown that started whining about training and then got fired from everywhere? Truckingtiger got tired of not selling cars, so went to orientation at FedX Ground.
