We have charity groups that set up on street corners,if they had ID's hanging on their coats,I give them money.
If a bum comes up to me,I ask him if he's seen my ex wife.

A lot of drivers, not all, here, are pretty rough on this subject . What they would do, if approached by a homeless person. IMO I have walked by an kindly said no. There is no reason to be rude. Just having to walk up to anyone and ask them for money, would be very hard for me to do. Im sure there are scams out there. We do not know there situation at all. If someone was to walk up to my wife, and ask for money, she would open here purse and probably give them a $5-10-or even a $20, thats just the way she is. There is no reason to disrespect anyone wearing the Vietnam hats, or Gulf war. I can tell right away, if they were there or not. Kind conversations about there tour, will also tell. I have never met a guy that wore a Vietnam hat, that wasn`t Genuine.
Maybe what we need is to start up the DRAFT again, and let the youngsters see how it feels. Being homeless or just ran out of money, is probably a very hard thing to deal with. Passing Judgment on someone is easy.

Of course it is easy. I can judge whether a person has anything of value to trade with me.Quite obviously someone incapable of feeding themselves has little to nothing of value for me. I can judge at that point there is no equal trade possible between us.

I do not care how or why they ended up where they are, if they have no value to me I can use my judgement to dismiss them.

We should find some way to convert the homeless into renewable energy.
