Driving my instructors truck last night around the "shifting range". Starting to develop a relationship with the truck's transmission and shifting is smooth. 5th gear is objecting though, so I have to talk to her and let her know that I will treat him just as gentle as the rest. Should be leaving out early tomorrow for Merryland.......

That's your problem . If 5th gear is objecting in the relationship it's a her , not a him and needs to be treated differently .

After sitting in Baltimore at a TA for 24, We moved to King of Prussia PA with a heavy load. Pickup at 0800, delivery by 1100. Load didn't finish until 0918, and had to beat feet up Rt 202 outside Philly, :biggrin_2557: Stop lights and all. Needless to say we were late, but got there before 1200. At 1200 they stop receiving and set up for shipping. We almost had to sit 24 :biggrin_25523: again. On the bright side, I had much practice down shifting and upshifting and convincing 5th gear that I was a good person and she should cooperate. I think I have her fooled :biggrin_2559: Great little deli up the street had a nice Veal sandwich and fries. I only share this because it seems that food is catching my interest with all of the interesting mom & pops places. I drove the whole way, traffic and all. Downshifting and upshifting and braking and catching yellow lights and red lights. So hectic I had no time to sightsee as we cruised the suburbs.....Up Next ????

Had plenty of time to work on upshifting and downshifting, while accelerating and decelerating in the lunchtime traffic. I worked on my relationship with 5th gear, convincing her that I was a good person. I think I have her fooled :biggrin_2559:
