    I agree we have serious problems but it IS NOT REPUBLICANS FAULT. Lmfao
    I believe AFLAC is sold in all 48 states . The DEMOCRATS have had control many a times and made things just as bad. Single payer health insurance does not work. Ask Canadians and the British . Eliminate fraud , illegal aliens and over charges for bandaids etc and frivolous law suits is a way to Start fixing our insurance problem. Letting insurance companies sell across State lines would also help. Govt is not the answer to all our problems !!!!!

    We would not be better off with single payer healthcare. That is government speak for government run healthcare. Competition brings down prices. It is the democrats that have stood in the way when it comes to insurance and crossing state lines. Republicans would like to see more competition. If there were not so many restrictions between states there would be more competition and rates would likely come down. Nothing beats down prices faster than stiff competition. Single payer means that there is NO completion. We buy insurance from the government and they decide who deserves care and who doesn't. Rationing would be the norm. If you think insurance is expensive now, just turn everything over to the government and you would see rates go through the roof.

    Hey all, I'm a new hire and went through my orientation two weeks ago. I had a couple "hick ups" but I'm a satisfied driver. I have my own truck and had it inspected before I went down to Al. Unfortunately I was two months getting there so I had to have it reinspected when I got there. The T/A did a lousy job inspecting it and I failed the new one that was done. Some stuff I was aware of but other stuff I missed and take full responsibility for.
    The long and short of it is I needed $1900.00 worth of repairs and didn't have it. My recruiter worked with me and the president of the company and instead of "patting me on the ### and sorry about your luck" covered the expense. Yes it's a loan but it was the difference of me working or not. I'd never hauled the first load for them but they took a chance on me and I for one appreciate it.

    Sometimes we get our panties in a bunch over trival things. Other times its a legitamate gripe but please remember this...CRST Mallone is in business to make money not to give you a job. They will look out for THEIR bottom line first not yours. If you sign up their is absolutely no promises of fame and fortune - just the possibility of feast or fammon. Run your business to make money for you and realize you get 75% percent +fuel surcharge all they get is 25% + any deductions you agree to..

    I recall back when I leased to CRST Malone, that a new recruit didn't pass the dot inspection on his truck. He didn't have any money, yet needed a couple of tires. The company loaned him enough to get the tires and get him started. I have heard of a couple of instances where this has happened at CRST Malone. I am sure that they won't do it with everyone, but I would expect that they have earned the loyalty of a number of those that they have helped. You won't find many carriers that would help you and give you a loan unless you have been with them for a while. The incident that I am talking about happened at orientation.

    Do you and your husband still work with CRST? I am interested in coming aboard and doing the L/O option because I am tired of the typical trucking company dispatcher stuff. I am looking at this as my own business and am not afraid of working hard. I quess the question I have is are you still happy there and making money?

    You need to express your displeasure when it comes time to reelect your congressional and senatorial representatives. If more of your fellow Californians felt the same as you, Nancy Pelosi and a few others would be sent packing along with Obama and company.

    Hi all,
    First thanks to everyone for the info and the reason why i'm asking again is because it's nov 2011 and i'd like to get a up to date response (given fuel cost rising and the econ). :biggrin_2554:, Presently at Prime (what a ******* rip off), been there 4 months in the flatbed division and made three paychecks!. Can't blame anyone but myself though, i made the choice to go see what their about, just didn't think it was that bad. Paying right now for a 09 peterbuilt with 311,000 on it .........wait for it.............................$1385.00 per week! I must have been stoned when i signed this freakin deal. Thats not including fuel (add $1600 per week to get the oper. cost's). For doing it i deserve all the vasiline get, (they charge for that too).:biggrin_25510:

    Anyway after 4 months i need to stop hemoraging money. Two choices of companies and Malone is one of them, couple of questions;

    1. Kind of confused about the load board, spoke with some malone drivers and some said they use 100% of the load board and some say 50% board 50% dispatch. If we choose loads why would you call dispatch or agent?

    2. I live in Chesapeake Va, usually go out for about a month-month and a half. how do you find the good lanes and make money:biggrin_255:

    1. If you find a load on the load board and book it throigh an agent, sometimes they can give you all the load info, but you may still need to call your dispatcher to get fuel money put on your card. Also you are required to do a daily check call with your dispatcher.
    2. They good lanes are mainly from the Carolinas, Ga.,Ky., and Alabama up to Il., In., ohio, Ia.Mi, and a few other odd places. Aftr you will find the areas that have the best rates and the higher density of freight.
