Sounds like a good move if you got the money to do that.
I think the cost of tires would be less than 11R24.5. I used to work in a truck tire shop for years, and people did this all the time with no problems.

i will probably take a little flak here for this but i.put on a set of kelly kda's and i really like them. i dont really need the extra bite they have but i got them on my national account for $1600 per 4, mounted and ballance with fet. the bridgestones were a thousand more almost and at the time nobody had them in stock.

I got my kelly kda's almost 3 years ago. paid $309.00 per tire. over 250,000 miles so far. great on longevity.

I'm thinking Brigestone DR444's. Going to go with 11r22.5 over current LP's. Was qouted at little over $3k for all 8 and the Kelly's were $2900 range.

Anyone running the 444's? I am running a low resistance tire now and is no fun in winter. So looking for the bit plus in fields during harvest. Figure I will off-set some fuel economy with lower RPMS of the taller tire.

My friend has the 444's on his rear drive axle (B720's on the front), he's very happy with them, grip, wear etc. He pulls a 48'flat.

See is you can find a TA or Petro with a set of Yokohamas. They discontinued them in August since Yokohama couldn't keep them supplied with enough inventory. Bought mine in TN at a TA for $2400 plus taxes.
