    Well... no go on the detour. Went through nyc. I'm kind of concerned now.... For some reason it didn't seem all that bad. Kind of scares me I've gotten so accustomed to driving through bumper to bumper traffic on a narrow road that it just doesn't bother me anymore. O I still complained the whole time, as DA1 can attest to lol, but it really wasn't that bad today. Not the first time I've been through there though either. The load is heading for Midland Texas. Hoping to get it repowered so I can get some much needed hometime in. Been very stressful this week, but that's part of the life. Still wouldn't trade trucking for another job.

    Actually, it was quite enjoyable informing that idiot yesterday that he could go back to his first p/u to get the correct load!

    Most of the stress is just exhaustion. Been out for awhile without rest. Is just need a few days to get everything settled n put the way I want, then I'm roll for a couple months.

    You misunderstand, ORD. It's like when an FAA inspector flies---the air traffic controllers clear the airspace for 20 miles around that aircraft! So, when the NYPD saw you coming, they cleared the streets for ya!
