Well, at least if you would have become a ditch diver in the wilds of Wyoming, you would have Vitamin C and some roughage. From now on, all you'll have is steel or plastic to eat!

Aight cant let DA1 highjack my thread completely lol Heres what I got now. Three coils of high voltage wire. Each coil weighs in at over 15,000 pounds. This is not helping my fuel mileage... Especially goin through: new york, West Virginia, Virginia, n Tennessee down I81. Got it up over 8 briefly before the hills took it back. Only way I can make it up the hills is to floor it. Tried the little trick of keeping the gauge to the right, but goin up hill at 25mph in a 70mph zone is unsafe. Almost got run into from behind many times. These got chained. I think I strained something trying to get um secured... These things are so heavy their crushing the 4x4s supporting um. Three chains on each one just as tight as I can get um. The first pic is before I secured um. Who thought it was a good idea to drop the trailer right there I dont know, but it was a pain to hook up 2. I had to lock my dif just to get attached

The guys flyin' by you are most likely empty...

Turn on the four-ways, maintain 1200 rpm and don't worry about it. Its their responsibility to maintain safe clearance while passing.

reniffk, da1, Mudrunner and 2 others Thank this.

Yeah. What are they going to do? MAKE you speed up? Tell 'em you'll just drop some cable on their toes to lighten the load!

ORD... you are a professional driver. There are always going to be situations where you are either overtaking or are passed by another vehicle. There is nothing you can do about it. One way to get yourself a seat in a Swift truck quick is to drive your truck in a manner more reserved for a paranoid, constantly blowing your minimum fuel economy number. If someone hits the back end of your truck, there's 50 or so feet of vehicle to absorb an impact - the moron who hits you isn't going to survive, but you'll do just fine.

Well ORD, I'm going out with a flatbed instructor Saturday morning...lol! It wasn't the original plan(Reefer was), but I done everything else but flat and he's the same age as me. Figured if he can do it so can I. I am really looking forward to learning something new. If I like it, heck I'll switch over to the flatbed division, when I come back in for TNT.

I'm trying IP. I really am. I'm still learning everything. Doesn't matter who's fault the wreck would be, it would still be on my record. I'll be rid of this load tommorow so :)

    Come on over oldman! Lol
