But seriously, she is going to need neutral third party administration of her new assets and wise suggestions on what to do with her money. Get someone who is a Professional Money Market Manager, who is registered with the SEC with a system of checks and balances. If she wants, I can give her a referral through a Private Message.Last edited: Nov 9, 2011

This is why many receivers want you to stay in the truck!
And a logical argument for not unloading/loading.
As a driver you are not in control / or totally familiar with the unique dock environments thus your risk outside of the truck is compounded. -
If she was delivering in Greeley, it was a local store and not a DC. The DC is up in Cheyenne. Losing her truck, she was probably a Walmart contractor. You have to check in and present your bills. That requires going to the office or on the dock. Not neccessarily was she unloading herself. Being a local store, it was probably a drop/hook and she was checking in.
Some driving jobs require the driver to unload. Milk and egg drivers come to mind. But that's usually at a DC.
Besides all that, anyone could of slipped on the grease. It was an unsafe condition that was neglected or overlooked.
Personally, I like it when a corporate giant gets a slap in the face. They run around with the "I am god" attitude. This justs let them know they are not god. -
I'm sorry, but most everyone knows that ice is slippery. And one good fall on your arse can end your career, if you are unlucky enough. You ARE OR SHOULD be in control of what you are doing and how you are walking no matter whose dock you are on, or how "unique" the situation is.
Now I don't think 10 million is warranted on ANYTHING, including a fatal. But I would not care to be in this persons shoes as far as what kind of pain she is likely to endure for the rest of her life. -
Now thats what I call winning the wal-mart lottery!
But seriously, I wish her full recovery, and hope she doesn't have to suffer from serious pain the rest of her years. -
Fell on the ice in a Pilot at the fuel pumps.
Told the clerk and she said, basically, we are truck drivers and she did not care.
