Not necessarily. A moving rear-end accident when you'd done everything right is something that could be Data-Q'd off of your CSA record. The FMCSA is planning to do something that would include reviews.
OTOH, tearing up an engine, getting crappy fuel mileage - are things that will get you out of a seat here...

I just checked my settlement, I get mine via email. It IS 36cpm with the per diem, actually slightly over. Got 2502 miles last week. Once I come back off hometime were goin back to running hard. Im going to do my best to get my mileage back up to where it was before I got this load, which was 7.67. Then well work on hitting 8. With the weight, hills n a head wind I just couldnt get it that high this week so far. Im not going to tear up my truck. Does need a bath though... its extremely dirty....

Next time just get your 5th wheel under but not locked. Then let the trailer down. This one situation were if the driver had an airbag dump it will leave the trailer to high.
-
My problem was the trailer was level, but the truck was not. I was at an angle trying to back under it. I did back under it part way then let it down, only reason I got it hooked up. It was probably the yard dog that left it there
Mudrunner Thanks this. -
Happens all the time around here. The Centuries and Pete's have a higher fifth wheel level (different fifth wheel) than the Cascadias. Always cranking the things down to hook on.Mudrunner Thanks this.

I always lower the trailer down after backing part way under. This way the trailer cant jump the 5th wheel. I learned that in PSD

I doesn't get any better then this! Me and my instructor are picking up a re-power here in SprgMo going to Cedar City, UT, through Denver up over Eisenhower on I-70. My first trip OTR trucking back in 1981 was over Eisenhower to LA!!! Slinging chains and throwing tarps....how freaking cool is that? lol
