Yes, the T2000's are quickly becomming a thing of the past. The 700's replace the 2000's. The 700 is just an updated 2000. Virtually identical on the inside. The outside is a bit more aero dynamic, but they are basically the same truck.
    All Stevens trucks have APUs.
As for mileage? I'm not sure. I have a 2000 and am getting a bit over 7.
I think last quarter my mileage was 7.4 overall.

    DenaliDad Thanks this.

Just remember...when they take you down tothe TA to do the backing (what does that have to do with speeding?), GOAL!
They do love you to do that!
    Good luck on getting out.

With my hours on the log book i waited until the sun came up this morning. DM sends message why are you not rolling. Now i hate a DM telling me when to drive. I answer why I have 3 full days to do 1300 miles I will drive when I am ready.

I have a frozen load and all the moisture in shreveport turned to snow on top of the trailer. Pulled out leaving a snow cloud for the next mile. Trucks behind me wanted to know where i had picked up the snow.

Got the meat dispatch message too about on time delivery. They sure dont like it when i ignored it. I answered that question on my daily check call. They dont like that answer either.

Sitting in an old fashioned smoking allowed truck stop having a reasonably priced dinner. Midland TX tonight.

Sitting in Fort Wayne Indiana. Getting error codes and the DPF system won't regen. Pulled in at noon, they never looked at it, and the engine guy over an hour ago. They say they won't have an engine guy tomorrow. What kind of shop is this???
He said to talk to the guy tomorrow morning first thing and see if he will get a guy in to look at it or if I have to wait until Monday. Anyone want to bet they call an engine guy in on a Saturday if they don't usually have one?
I wouldn't have called the shop again if the truck wasn't losing power. I was told to ignore the first error code, that it would clear out in a while. It did. But then the next error code was different and didn't go away. And then the manual regen light came on and when I tried to do it manually - nothing. By the time I got my load delivered the truck was slowing down even going over an overpass. So I had to call the shop again and they insisted I take it to the nearest dealer to have it looked at.
Only good thing is if they won't or can't look at it and get it taken care of tomorrow I'm going to call for a ride home and leave the truck at the dealer until they can take care of it.
I could have got a hotel room for the night, but the one next door is a pit, I've stayed there before when my T2000 needed work and this place took two days to do it. I'm not going to call a cab and try hotel roulette either. I'd rather sleep on my truck.
I hope they get this thing running.
Seriously, what kind of dealer has no engine guy on Saturdays and closes it's shop at noon on Saturday and doesn't reopen until Monday morning???

    heya guys!
reading this section of the forums is quite different from the good/bad company sections, makes me eager to want to start my training sooner. I'm going to school myself but looking into stevens as one of my options after its over. they've been having seminars here lately (denver, not sure if its common) but I applied online and they sent me a schedule so gonna go check them out tomorrow. nice to see positive posts and people sharing their experiences. Only thing Im waiting for is an accident report for an accident I had in january of this year, have my MVR and I did get a citation for failure to yield, but all it shows on the MVR is defective headlamps, recruiter said as long as it doesnt show careless or wreckless on the report a year is fine which is why I have my schooling held off till january so it will be JUST over a year.
