My husband has his Class A CDL drivers license and I am in school about to finish up and get mine. We are looking for a good christian company to work for that will train us. Any advice? Thanks and God Bless

The Christian part may be a problem.... come to think of it the "good" part may be,too!!!

The big carriers will make you work cheap, treat you like a number and spit you out if you make any mistakes.

It's always best to do your homework and find a smaller company to latch on to that will take you under their wing and treat you right. hard to find but worth the effort...

There are two local companies that I have worked for that have done this many times... find one near you.

    I don't know about that . When I think about Covenant I think about Matthew 7:21 .
I saw a report on Inside Edition that showed a Covenant driver bobtail up to the home of a 14 year old he had been talking to on the internet . When he was arrested they found drugs in his truck .
I'd look into that carrier before signing on with them .

I'm not a church going person, just a person with values.

I'm also not a recruiter for Covenant.

The problem I have with your analogy is that you are going to condemn an entire company that professes to run it's business based on Christian values over the actions of one driver who obviously wasn't acting in a responsible manner. Covenant, like other companies, cannot discriminate in the hiring process due to religious beliefs. So, obviously, the drug fueled pedophile might have just slipped under the radar.

The original poster was looking for a "Christian Company". I answered the question pretty simply.

I love it when people pull a scripture out of their hat, use it to judge another human being, or in your case, a group of such, and then throw the baby out with the bath water.

Covenant as a "Christian" company died a long time ago, they are just like every other large outfit. Honestly, what does it matter if the company is ran by "Christians" or not? Look for a company that treats the drivers right, has decent miles, and pay.

It wasn't Inside Edition that nabbed him, it was Dateline NBC To Catch a Predator with Chris "Why don't you take a seat right over there" Hanson.

Not the wisest use of "line 5"!

I wonder how this looked on his DAC report.

I have learned that when this is the case... run the other way, and don't look back.

    Lonesome and fortycalglock Thank this.
