Howdy everyone, I am starting classes on the 20th. Seems it will be limited classes? Hopefully not too limited, would be nice to meet some people. Leaving my current job for this, which is Pizza delivery. Job was nice, but the people are..well, i won't go into it. However, only getting 14 hours a week, is kind of killing me. Hopefully this will be much better. I did learn how much i loved driving, thanks to this job.
Love the road, love the sights, hopefully i get to see much of both.
Starting on the 20th of November.

Welcome and good luck to you driver! I'm in SprgMo going through PSD as we "speak". Been posting tips and observations during my time here at PSD, maybe something will help ya.
November 8th Prime PSD Class
The BEST advice I could give ya is try and get your CDL permit before you get to Springfield! It will put you ahead of the rest of the pack! Keep us posted on your adventure! -
already got my CDL, made sure to get it set before setting up the date

Hey Ratboy, My recruiter has me returning to Springfield also for the PSD orentation that starts on the 20th.
I'll be driving up from Austin, TX and I'll be getting there a day earlier so I can get all the paperwork filled out that you will go pick up from Wally in the sim lab.
I guess Prime is going to push the PSDs thru orentation before Thanksgiving day. Looks like I'll be having a Thanksgiving meal at the local Cracker Barrel while we wait for trainers.
Be safe on your trip down and we'll see you there, I'm always in a burnt orange longhorn cap. -
Welcome!! Just listen to what they tell ya n don't be late
-
Have fun, and keep us updated on your adventure...

i'm pretty good at being punctual, so no worries about that. i'm just a bit nervous about the whole thing, being away from home, and so on. I'm sure i'll love it though

Look at it as an adventure. A modern day cowboy of sorts. A new place almost everyday. Traveling the country on someone elses dime. I cant understand the home part, as I consider my truck my home. No family at home, only those Ive met at Prime n here. Just listen to what they tell ya n pay attention to everything around you while in the truck. Give it all you got n itll work out... Just dont let training discourage you. Many times during training I wanted to quit, thought about quitting. Happy I didnt. I got my pay off now. My own truck!

I am here, came last night. After 10 hours of travel, was pretty fun. Woke up not too long ago to get some paperwork done, and am about to head out to get something to eat. Since i have my CDL permit, perhaps i could go out and do some of the simulations ahead of time, to give myself a little more practice. So, anyone else here? Who else should i be looking out for? who's comming?

You should be able to do some of the sim work now. Depends on if Wally or the other guy is in there. O n fyi.... dont ever refer to them as "video games"..... they dont like that lol
