Glad that your wife is feeling better!! It's nice to have a company that treats their drivers well and realizes that we are human with spouses and children that do actually need us!! Be safe!

Rockfish thanks for your posts and the others that are on here. I wil be getting my cdl next month and PGT is my number 1 company that I would like to go to. A few questions, I spoke with someone at PGT already and they said they can't start the checks till I get my hard copy CDL. I would like to get to work as soon as possible, how long can I expect the checks to take? And how often do they start orientation? I have clean records drivers and criminal, and already have my hazmat fingerprint checks go thru. Thanks in advance

I just might, one of our drivers made to jump to PGT a few yrs ago, and he kinda sold me on the idea of leasing a truck from them, but havent seen him for some time now.

Hey fish I am a fellow Philadelphia native I got my CDL last year but before I could get on the road I had a serious family emergency as well that kept me out until now. Going to be doing a refresher course soon then off to PGT hopefully. My emergency that I had has me a little paranoid so I am trying to be home every weekend how realistic is that. Also glad everything with your wife is ok. What part of philadelphia are you from. Do they have anything for military veterans. Thanks in advance.

Miz,.whats up man!i live in mayfair.they tell everyone that comes on be prepaired to stay out 2 weeks.when i first started with pgt i was home every weekend but one in 5 months!that means home for a 34 reset and rolling again.i stay out now 2 or 3 weeks because i want to,and like making the extra money.pgt has a lot of frieght going in,out and around are area.i think u could get home every if u discuss and plan with your dispatcher.also has to do with making your revenue for the truck!good luck to u!also when u first come on plan on being out a while to train test and get you truck!hope i ancered your ?.
