I sure hope so, and ya thats what i was thinking if i can make it at least a year im ok. Even 6 months would get me on with Keens sister company and home every weekend.
the thing im worried about most other then the E-Logs are the tarps, not haveing to do them, but being physically able to throw them around. I know most shippers will put it on top for you. I also read on here a new driver was sent home from orientation from McElroy for not being able to pickup a tarp off the ground and put it on the deck....I DONT want that to happen lol
As long as they dont pull any crap like that i should be ok. I will find a way to move them if they are as heavy as people say they are.

First, you won't see a for sale sign because with that record the company is only worth assests. Forget figuring value on future earnings because anyone that knows anything about this business will know that without being in compliance they will ge shutdown. It's a weekly event in Chicago.
Second, for your own CSA score you need to leave. You can be legal and safe but you are human and will make mistakes. But the man is looking at every truck in your company and you will be inspected more often and not cut any slack.

But they did not say that a company that is not in compliance can not be mandaited. It was only about telling people like me that have not proven to be flakes that I have to have them. -
The Fourth Amendment argument was set aside and only the harassment issue addressed. The judge did this to leave a valid argument against e-logs for the future.
It may be a pretty powerful argument if presented in the right way. This country was founded under the idea that people should not be monitored throughout their lives. That is precisely what e-logs does. Yeah, I know...nobody forced me to be a driver. *yawn* But despite my willingness to buy a CDL, I am still a citizen of the US with the Constitution and all its Amendments my birthright.

There are up sides to e-logs and down sides. The biggest up-side for me is no matter what I'm legal time wise, ALL THE time. I have always had the feeling and belief that I can just about make anything work, and fit on paper. No matter how many sheets or books it takes. Problem now-a-days is DOT is oh so well versed in looking that paper log over with a fine tooth comb. Too easy for them. E-logs, it's right there for them, no trying to catch you on a missed line or a wrong time. So that is a load off of what I have to think about every day. It can get tight on e-logs but if you truck smart you can make it work. Much more planning on a drivers part is required.
Downside, they will be times when the frustration will get to you because you know you can make it, you're not tired and hey, it's 13:00 in the day. Who stops now? You do if the box tells you " You're time is UP".American-Trucker Thanks this. -
id say 11 hours is enough for any given day to be driving,and 14 hr workday as max.

I've run both and I don't mind ELogs in the least bit. As long as you can run hard through the day, which I'm pretty sure you can, you'll be alright. When my company switched to them guys were in complete uproar about it. Now you talk to them and the large majority will tell you it hasn't been a big deal like they thought it would.
