I can't do Prime, I have a full reason in the prime dac section. I just got turned down by swift because I live in new mexico. Apparently if you live in NM you can't go to any of there training academys now even though a friends son did a few years back. Soooooo I need a company... I have my CDL permit so I need a training company that will help me get my CDL, preferably with little cost to me out of the hole and pay back over time working with the company. A super big plus would be a company that allows pets on company trucks. I just wanna drive but I keep hitting snag after snag.... There are SO many companies it will take forever to go through and see what there training programs are like and there pet policy and all that is. Thanks all in advance, hopefully I'll find SOMETHING...

Hi, I'm looking for something similar. I will let you know if I find anything. Any chance you could do a school out of state? Maybe stay with a friend or relative? If staying with someone is the case let me know, there's a neat organization you may be able to utilize.

Just called Schneider and Roehl. I need my cdl for schneider and roehl isn't taking applicants for school from new mexico. CR England seems the best bet for me so far but there pet policy is NO pets... I want a furry companion to keep me company on the road :(

Check into Sage schools. I think you can sign a student loan with them and pay it back over time. Then you can go where ever you want.

Just called sage. The total cost of school is $4960 and they have no student loan or financing stuff. I'm leaning towards cr england... They seem to be the only company that I can train with.

Thanks for the help and I'm still open to options for other companies.

CRST if you can tolerate teaming.

Mesilla Valley, maybe. Don't know if they train.

They told me over the phone that not enough people from NM go through there academy so they don't have an instructor that knows the CDL stuff for NM. Which I don't get because I figured CDL stuff was pretty much the same nation wide... Most other carriers don't have this problem. I'll try calling the east coast swift number tomorrow and see'ing...
