I worked for usxpress four or five years ago and liked it alot. I would be working there now but they don't let you train your spouse. Well at least thats what I was told by recruiting. So, I went with swift to get my wife through training. I've got over 8 years exp driving. I worked for swift to get my mentor status and put my wife through 240hrs of company training. She graduated with no problem and we ran 2 weeks team with swift. We got stuck at the waiting in Memphis so I called usx to see how much experience was needed for my wife to go team. I was told she had enough and was more than clear that she did not have 3 months worth of experience. I was told that we were "good to go" "ready to roll" so we gave up our 2012 cascadia to go to orientation. After 2 days of orientation she needs 14 more days of "experience" to be considered a qualified driver. We got burned. We have to go back to swift and usxpress loses a hasmat team over 14 days. The funny thing is that usxpress training is for 150hrs to be a solo driver and my wife has 240hrs plus to weeks of full on 5000mi week team running under her belt.
Now were in a ragged out 08 columbia.
They said in orientation usxpress reads these forums.
Current company recruiter names were left out because from what I have seen this company looks like a great place to work.
The only Duston in Dallas orientation on 11/14 if usx wants to contact me directly they can.

Quess who? Yea the other guy that got burned (but not really) tuesday night after you did. They had a problem with employment verification from a company I worked for over 5 years ago. I could not get a straight answer from anyone untill I talked to the recruiting superviser Kyla want her direct line? I flew back the next morning and just taking a break from submitting more apps. Things are getting grim, getting alot of doors slammed because of recent unemployment. Keep in touch Fence

HD sounds like a good idea but the facilitator at orientation says the CEO does look at these. I also feel USX would be a great place to work just wish I had known this problem was there so I could take care of it. So far I have lost over $300 in airline tickets, hotel up grades and various expences. Pitty that could have told me this might have happened b4 I left. The CEO should also know USX put an unemployed veteran out on the streets because of the lack of verifing info that should be available on my DAC report.

and asking for a copy to be faxed to you it will list all jobs from the date you request until the present date. this is what I did before I went to orientation -
What is the form number or name of the form that you request for that? I see return transcripts but I dont think thats the form your talking about.

Electricfence2011, We got totally messed around by Swift we had to take a ragged out truck to Memphis to sit and wait for a Team truck to come available. The misinformation cost us about a week and a half of team pay. Were going to stay over here at Swift till Christmas and probably go back to usx after the first of the year.
In defense of the recruiter, if my wife had gone to swift to get her cdl there wouldn't have been a problem. The rule states you have to be with the company for 90 days. They have rules but, they should be able to give a pass because recruiting caused the problem. So were out about $3000 in the ordeal. If you count the lost income of not going to work for usx and working till xmas with swift were out an estimated $5300.
HD_renegade thanks for the heads up on the Facebook ill "like" them. I think Ill just go passive aggressive on TR. I really don't want to stir things up with a company I intend on working for in the near future. I just wanted to add validity to my story and inform other drivers that may get themselves into the same bind as I allowed myself to be talked into.HD_Renegade Thanks this. -
Hd they wanted more than just employment verification I had w2 and 1040 in hand at the time. I contacted that company and they do not keep driving ua accident and ticket info for more than 5 years. I called my former recruiter from that company and he said they were being rather conservative and petty and should have given me the benefit of the doubt. He being a recruiter asked why don't you come back here. Pow!!! I have a bus ticket and prehire letter for Monday orientation. Took all of a half hour.
Dunston good luck with all that I am just going back to the company I started out with. Beggars can't be choosers since I have not been behind the wheel since 2007. -
I really do not know if it will make things any better for the people that are the drivers, and the backbone of the company, but I was told USX just went thru a re-org. Only time will tell if this will make a difference with drivers, and how they bring new people into USX.

Duston... USXpress will let you train your wife, I will be training mine in about 3 weeks or so... I knew this info a year ago, actually longer but, some time had lapsed so I say a year. If you want to drive for USXpress, don't give up on them, talk to recruiters, different ones,,,use the Chatt on their page as well, do not give up...
