    Here is the Wisconsin Law:

    • If a person has two or more OWI / DUI violations after January 1, 1989, they will stay on the driver record permanently. However, if a person has one OWI / DUI violation within 10 years, then a subsequent OWI / DUI offense outside the 10-year period will be considered a first.
    • Once a person gets a third OWI / DUI - related offense, the two priors will count. In other words, a person could have two first offenses, but could never have three first offenses. The third is always a third, regardless of when the two priors occurred provided they were after January 1, 1989.
    • Effective September 30, 2003, if a person is convicted of a first offense OWI / DUI with an alcohol concentration of .08 or more but less than .10, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is required to purge the offense from its records. Otherwise, all OWI / DUI - related records are to be kept permanently.
I can get a job, I just have certain limitations in how I enter the industry. I can suck it up for the 13 months Swift wants me to commit to them for training me. Then I have a CDL and lots of options will open up for me. Rome wasn't built in a day. (but then again, I wasn't on that job)

It was seriously a very easy task to accomplish, no need for an attorney. My boyfriend went into to DMV to inquire about it and was given the same phone number to call that someone else had already given him, we just wanted someone else to say the same thing. Go to DMV and ask for the long form of your driving record, it has a special name but I can't recall it right now, but specify the long form for trucking. Ask them about the expunging and see if they turn you in the right direction. He handled it in the small local office, but I would say go to the one down in Sac that the truck schools use, I'll find out which one that is. I don't have the DMV number that he used, but I will get it for you when I talk to him next. But he called, talked to the person, and they said that they would recommend it for expunging, to check back in a month. A month later it was off of his record. If you know what to look at, you can still tell that it was there because it shows that he had to complete an 18 month school for the one remaining DUI, and an 18 month school is for second offenders ususally. But he was told by DMV, different trucking companies, and his school, that if it isn't on the long form, don't disclose it. According to DMV, he only has one DUI on his record now. If both of yours are that old, they should both come off easily. As long as you haven't already applied for your CDL. I'll get back to you with more info when I track it down.

We looked at that one, and his friend went there. We opted for Western Pacific. They're both good.

Western Pacific wants about $900 more than Western. Any certain reason you chose Western Pacific ? It's actually closer to me , but there trucks looked a little ragged, I guess that really doesn't matter though. They also had these crude home made gas clutch and brake peddles with a PVC pipe gear shift . Kinda through me off a little, but I here they have some good instructors and I guess that's what really counts. Plus the trucking companies I've talked with have told me there both good schools . I'll probably go with Western just for the $$$ reason.

That is strange, back in April Western Pacific was cheaper. I tried to not focus on the money since it was less than $1000. I felt like Western was too slick and polished, whereas Western Pacific had a much better feel. Western Pacific had a few more awards and certifications. The drive to Western Pacific was easier that fighting that Business 80 traffic. We went to both schools several times and overall just liked the feel of Western Pacific better. The schools are or were connected. The husband has Western and the wife has Western Pacific.
