I have a pending suit against a mega carrier....yet I still tout the good the carrier does, and I won't hesitate to criticize the bad they do either.
I will defend what is done right for the company I work for now...and I will not hesitate to point out to other drivers what is "not so right" and to "be aware of" anything I don't necessarily agree with.
Batman is a company driver for CR England, and what he is happy with is his choice. Could he do any better at a different company> Maybe, maybe not...either way it is his call. If he was asking for specific numbers, maybe he was thinking you might not be reading the settlement sheet correctly...he does know the "workings" of England after all. But to say he is a corporate shill, without proof or evidence other than the number of posts per day...which was grossly exaggerated here...is wrong.
You seem to be on the bad side of CR England...as most others are on this "Bad Company" forum....so would it be possible, you are biased against...just like Batman is biased for?
Evidently, you failed to do your research before deciding to go with England....it was all right here on this TTR...more negative posts than positive...but that was the choice your husband chose....and yet you are the one doing all the complaining. Who exactly wears the pants in your family? Daddy not bringing enough home for your champagne life style? On a beer budget?Lonesome, Cudascious, AXE and 4 others Thank this. -
well he's gone now, but I'm sure he'll be back. The point I was trying to make to protect your anonymity at all times. This guy got a little obvious, but someone said in a previous forum that they lost their job over a post they made about swift. (I'm not sure how to use this site yet.) It's one thing to disagree w/one another, to defend your company or point out what you may see as fault on the driver's end... but some stuff is over the top attacking and even countering with lies and you gotta wonder who would go to that length and why. Especially when they start asking you to prove yourself to them. others might not be so stupidly obvious, so watch yourselves. All I'm sayin...

WOW! Massively ignorant. almost impressive, but considering the 'depth' you wrote with, not surprising at all.

must've missed out on the Hot Coffee at McDonalds... bummer...

Some one said they lost their job because of something they posted here (or other forums)?
Keep in mind...what a driver whines or cries about, and gives "his/her" reasons for a termination...isn't always the real reason they were terminated. It is often what they have decided to pass on to others...not necessarily the truth about the cause of termination.
Think about it a minute...with all the law suits against carriers for "wrongful termination", for breech of the freedom of speech, for sexual or job site harassment...do you really think a carrier...especially a mega carrier....would set themselves up for a law suit for terminating a driver for things he/she posted on this or any other forum?corneileous Thanks this. -
I think it's odd you're trying to dismiss everything I'm saying. and it's called Right to Fire. So no reason needed.
-
In my eyes...you seem think that unless we agree with you, we are wrong! Not the case as you see it...I am simply trying to show you that perhaps, what hubby told you might not be the actual reason of his termination...(I am assuming he was terminated)...also, what you claim Batman was "pressing you for specific information"...was actually his wanting to see in black and white that what you were saying is accurate. I don't know what was said, or posted between you since that isn't in this thread. But you made the outright statement that "Batman has to be corporate, because of his 20-30 posts per day."
And for your information...it's called "Right to Work"...which merely tells you you don't have to join a Union in order to work for any, or a specific company!
Every company has a "Right to Fire"...but even in a "Right to Work" state, the company has minimum guidelines by Federal Law, and State Law that offers workers certain rights during their employment. If you are certain that your husband was wronged by England...file a claim with OSHA...but make sure your case is solid, and your facts are straight...their interview about your claim is a bit intense.
And there is also a Federal Law regarding anyone who "blows the whistle" on any company for wrong doing, for safety violations, for scrimping on wages, or for several other points....it's called "The Whistleblower Protection Act"...part of the Department of Labor, just like OSHA.corneileous Thanks this.
