Sitting here in Troutdale, waiting for my 0200 delivery to Albertsons.
Then a preplan takes me up by Moses Lake, WA to pick up potatoes and take them to Cambell's in NC.
Snuck thru the Blues before the snow started flying. Weather report assures me I'll be sitting at the Arrowhead truck stop for a day or two, waiting for the road to reopen to general traffic.
Would rather stay here in Portland for a day or two. At least I have friends and family here to visit...but Pendleton?
    C'est la vie!

I probably won't. It's set for 11/29, but we'll be there (if we make the entire run) about the 26th.
However, I'm due into the yard by 12/1, so I suspect they'll repower me on friday.
    Quien sabe?

floor loads of tators and carrots to maxton, love the hydraulic dump, then over to the brother in laws pit to wash out, so he can feed his hogs... great family business...

Setting tonight in Gary IN, deliver in chicago at 1300 Wed... and all of my requests to help with any load went ignored....

Now for my question/gripe of the week!!!!!
4 stevens drivers all picking up at stonyfield, 3 going to chicago, one to Iowa City IA...The Iowa City run delivers at 0300 on Wed, 930 miles away... efficient run... All 3 chicago deliver 1200, 1300, 1400... not efficient. Dispatch gives the Iowa City run to a G2 driver, who has driven since midnight to make his delivery, and then to make the pick up... all he can do with the load is pick it up, drive the mile to trexler and park, and then run his 10 hours on Tuesday, and request a repower... All 3 of us have more than enough hours to make the appointment in Iowa city, but we all get chicago.

So what goes through dispatches mind? and when I called and asked to switch loads, I was told to mind my own business. Makes me ask what games dispatch is playing this holiday?

Going to be a long boring holiday, setting around it looks like.

Some of the employees are from GE in the states, but not all of them. How dare they make me sit in Moncton at the casino most of T-day :biggrin_25518:

I Have a Question? When taking the Texas CDL do they allow you to use a pre-trip check list or do you have to have it memorized and how through do you have to be to pass the pre-trip portion of the test. I am currently studying and was wondering do to the vast amount of information that is provided. I really would like to get it down where I know it all but that is going to take a little time. Thanks for any information that you all can provide and to those of you that are away from family for this holiday I want you to know that I am thinking of you and I hope every one has a safe and blessed Thanksgiving.:wav:
